Another one of Lilah's team chimed in, “Plus, we don't need to stoop low like some companies; we know how to keep it classy!"

This argument strengthened the bond among Aurora Jewelers’ crew.

On the flip side, Xavier Jewelers’ team wore their arrogance Like a badge. "Jealous much? Maybe one day you'll taste the first-class life, too!"

Evelyn shot them a cool, dismissive look. "Find your way to the bottom tier with Miss Phillips. We have better places to be."

The flustered resort manager began to open the gates for Evelyn's entourage. But he paused when he spotted a familiar figure sprinting their way, beads of sweat glistening on the person's forehead. Was that... Nigel Mason, the big boss of the resort?

“Mr. Mason? What brings you here?" the manager asked, a hint of panic creeping into his voice.

Nigel responded with a swift smack on the manager's head. “You're about to upset someone really important!"

He scanned the crowd, his eyes eventually landing on Lilah. Was she the one Mr. Harris' assistant had mentioned?

Nigel had just gotten a call from Calvin, who said that Gerard wanted Lilah treated like royalty, escorted to the first-class area.

Later in the day, Gerard was expected, which sent jitters down Nigel's spine. He knew he had to set things straight, and fast.

Evelyn was still outside the bus. Seeing Nigel surveying the scene, she assumed he'd come to personally receive her. With her signature swagger, she approached him. "You must be the person in charge of the resort?"

From inside the bus, Xavier Jewelers' crew couldn't contain their excitement.

"Wow, Ms. White's got the resort's boss coming out for her!"

"She's definitely someone to look up to!"

Evelyn confidently extended her hand, expecting a warm handshake. But Nigel's response was far from friendly. “Why's everyone so keen to get on my good side?"

Without another word, he breezed by her, leaving Evelyn with a bewildered look.

The Xavier Jewelers' crew was equally stunned. If he wasn't here for Evelyn, then who?

Their confusion cleared up when they saw him bee-lining for Lilah.

Like a chameleon, his demeanor transformed into a warm, welcoming one.

"Ms. Phillips," he began, all smiles, "I apologize for the delay and confusion. My team should've done better. To make it up to you, how about a trip up to Pine Mountain?"

The gathered crowd couldn't help but draw in a collective breath, completely floored by the offer.

Pine Mountain was an exclusive paradise, known for its Luxurious hot springs and unmatched entertainment. But here was the catch: it wasn't open for everyone. The Harris family, the resort's owners, were the only regulars. Other than them, one had to be handpicked and invited by the Harrises themselves.

Nigel could sense Lilah's skepticism. "I'm genuinely sorry," he said, rushing to clarify. "I should've prepped my staff better. Think of this as a peace offering; I hope you accept."

After some thought, Lilah replied, “Alright.”
