Let me first look at the one who was harmed; she might still have remnants."
The group headed to the basement to see Justina, who had been locked up.
"Let me out, let me out!"
Even before reaching the basement, they heard Justina's cries, sounding as if she were being tormented, her voice filled with agony.
"Let me out, I'm dying! I'm being consumed by invisible terrors -scorpions crawling all over me!"
Justina was shouting and trembling in fear, curled up in a corner, an aura of extreme terror enveloping her, causing a shiver of fear to run through the room.
Lilah was at the front and the first to witness Justina's condition, utterly shocked.
Wasn't she fine yesterday? How did she suddenly lose her mind today?
"Scorpions, scorpions... go away, go away!" Justina desperately waved her hands, seemingly wishing to throw them away.
Yet, even so, she couldn't escape the fear, which only intensified.
"Melvin, what's happening to her?" Joselyn whispered.
Melvin's face was grim, his eyes beneath the glasses showing displeasure.
"She's completely hypnotized, experiencing hallucinations. We need to help her clear them."
"And how do we treat it?" Lilah asked, somewhat skeptical.
"There is a way, but it will take time to fully remove the effects." Melvin took out a mysterious black box from his pocket, opening it to release a strong medicinal aroma.
Justina, sensing the scent, became even more agitated.
"Go away, go away! Don't harm me, don't harm me... " She curled up in the corner, overwhelmed by pain, seemingly on the brink of madness.
Melvin entered the room, subdued her, and administered the medicine, then knocked her unconscious.
"Is that all there is to it?" Joselyn asked.
Melvin shook his head, "It's not that simple. Whether she can completely recover from the remaining hypnosis depends on her own physical condition. If she can pull through, it would be a silver lining in this situation. But if she can't... then it's up to fate."
Lilah seemed to understand only part of it.
In other words, whether Justina could survive was still uncertain.
Miranda soon learned of the situation and suggested that she take over the care of Justina, which might at least increase her chances of survival.
Lilah was not in favor of this idea. She herself was a patient in need of rest and how could she exhaust herself by caring for someone else, especially someone she found annoying.
