Unexpectedly, Lillie turned back to her. "If there's something you need to say, just say it."

Joselyn was taken aback, seeing the understanding in Lillie's eyes, making it harder to speak.

"Do you need my help?" Seeing her mother in such a predicament, Lillie couldn't help but relent, sighing softly.

"I can help, but I have one request."

Joselyn furrowed her brows slightly, fearing that Lillie might propose a condition she couldn't agree to.

"Mom, you have to keep your promise. I want to go skiing in the Alps." Lillie beamed at Joselyn with a cheerful smile.

Joselyn's heart filled with warmth, and she couldn't resist pulling Lillie into her arms, gently stroking her hair.

Lillie was coaxed out by Joselyn and came into the living room.

Lilah and the others were at their wits' end, but seeing Lillie, their eyes lit up.

Even Lilah was a bit surprised, not expecting Lillie to be willing to help.

"Mom has told me everything, Lillie said, lifting her chin with an air of confidence and casting a glance at Lilah.

"To be honest, if it weren't for my mom, I wouldn't want to help you at all. You've taken my mother's attention away from me, and I will never coexist peacefully with you. Please don't disturb us when my mom is with me. Of course, if she's with you, I won't say anything.Understand?"

She was truly grateful.

Miranda added, "Lillie, we're not here to take your mom away from you. You always feel we're competing with you, but why not think of it differently? Maybe we're here to be your sisters, to protect you and shower you with love alongside your mom?"

She huffed, "I don't believe you're that kind-hearted. I don't care!"

Miranda sighed helplessly, thinking that Joselyn had indeed raised her with great care and affection, which is why she was so innocent and naive.

Later, Lilah took Lillie to a room on the second floor.

Gerard was already asleep under the influence of a sedative.

Through the peephole, Lilah saw her beloved lying quietly on the bed, as if nothing had happened.

Seeing her sorrowful expression, Lillie felt an inexplicable discomfort. She recalled that during this time, Lilah and Miranda hadn't really done anything to her. Instead, she had been the one trying to provoke them, and she realized her actions weren't very noble.
