"Lillie, have you lost your mind? I'm doing this for your own good!" Melvin's voice was chilling, like a vengeful spirit emerging from the depths of hell.

Tears welled up in Lillie's eyes as she shook her head fervently. "No, no, Uncle Melvin, please don't. I've already upset Mom. I don't want her to hate me too.Please let her go.If she loves Uncle Absolon, then let her be with him."

"You foolish child!" Melvin angrily pushed Lillie aside, and she fell to the ground unprepared. "Your mother doesn't belong with them!"

With that, he swiftly pulled out a syringe from his pocket. The needle glinted ominously in the sunlight, sending a shiver down everyone's spine.

"You guys go first!" Joselyn said coldly.

"We go together!" Absolon didn't hesitate, stepping in front of Joselyn. "I'll take you with me."

With those words, he grabbed Joselyn's hand and ran.

Melvin tried to chase after them, but Lillie held onto his legs.

The scene quickly drew the attention of airport security, and two officers rushed over.

Melvin was trembling with rage, watching his plan fall apart, all because of Lillie. Without thinking, he stomped furiously on Lillie's back.

Pain shot through Lillie's body, and she felt the world spinning, nearly losing consciousness.

In a haze, she thought she saw Joselyn rushing back toward her, looking extremely anxious.

"Lillie, Lillie?" Joselyn crouched down hastily, helping Lillie up.

Absolon didn't manage to leave that day.
