“You're right. I have to keep fighting."
Ruby was intoxicated. After consoling her for a bit, Lilah gently guided her into the car. Fortunately, Ruby's assistant remained behind the wheel.
"Are you a friend of Ruby's? She talks about you a lot. Allow me to drop you off first," the assistant offered.
"Alright," Lilah replied.
Back at Starlight Mansion, she lay on her bed, grappling with her emotions. Falling asleep proved challenging; hours passed.
The following morning, sunlight bathed the earth in its warm glow.
Lilah cheered herself up and tackled her work.
Before the brand ambassador matter settled, Effie reached out to Lilah of her own accord.
“Lilah, I believe I'd make an excellent fit as your brand ambassador.
Besides, I'm currently shooting a TV series, and it's sure to elevate your brand. I promise that if I represent you, I'll proudly sport your jewelry wherever I go!" Effie conveyed over the phone.
Her enthusiasm and warmth radiated like a sunbeam, making it difficult for Lilah to decline. “Alright, then. I'll need to express my gratitude."
“Ha-ha, no need for thanks. You can treat me to a meal when you're free.
After the ambassador deal had been settled, Lilah received the store transfer contract from Evelyn.

In the three days leading up to the launch of their new products, Lilah found herself so busy that she could only manage a few hours of sleep at the office.
Finally, it was the day of the product launch.
At 8 o'clock, Aurora Jewelers unveiled its latest products.
While Lilah was in a meeting with the senior executives, the deputy CEO remarked, "Xavier Jewelers has also launched their products. It's shameless to follow our lead!"
Lilah had anticipated this and grasped Evelyn's intentions. “It's fine; let's monitor the sales trend."
The sales figures that day were crucial.
However, Lilah soon discovered that Evelyn's tactics ran even deeper than she had imagined.
In the morning, Aurora Jewelers boasted higher sales than Xavier Jewelers, but come afternoon, Xavier Jewelers abruptly offered a hefty half-off discount, luring away many customers. As a result, Xavier Jewelers' sales surged ahead of Aurora Jewelers by a mile.
"I'm at a loss for words. The thing that bugs me the most? Price wars. They just put people at a disadvantage. Does it even make sense?" one of the Aurora Jewelers' senior executives said.
“They seem to find it thrilling. Darn it! They're outselling us.
