Cason's steps faltered, and a wave of despair washed over him.

"Mom, where's Miranda?" he asked, grabbing Claudian's arm, his face pale and voice trembling. In response, Claudian slapped him harshly.

"At a time like this, your grandmother has just left this world, and you're still looking for that woman!"

Cason stood rigid, taking a few steps back. In that moment, he fully realized that he had been deceived, that both he and Miranda had been deceived.

The Sanderson family had never accepted Miranda, let alone allowed her to marry him."Mom!" Cason dropped to his knees."I don't want her anymore.

I won't marry her. Just let her go, please. I'll marry whoever you want tomorrow. Just don't hurt her!"

Claudian paused, turning back to look at her son in astonishment, her brows furrowed tightly.

Just as she was about to speak, Lilah and Gerard entered.

"You ungrateful child, get up and go see your grandmother!"

Claudian scolded coldly.

But Cason held onto her arm. "Mom, I'm asking you one last time, where is Miranda?"

His voice was sharp and filled with despair.

Lilah merely gave a cold smile, unmoved by Cason's attitude. If he truly had the ability, he wouldn't have let anything happen to Miranda.

"Gerard, it seems we're the only ones who can save my sister now." She turned to look at the man behind her, the one who would stand by her side no matter the time or place.

Gerard nodded, then took out his phone to give Calvin instructions.

Moments later, several helicopters landed on the open grounds of the Sanderson estate, and dozens of fully armed soldiers disembarked.

At the same time, all exits of the Sanderson estate were secured, and a large contingent of people surged in from the perimeter, enveloping the estate like a tide.

"Mr. Harris, what are you doing?" Richard, the head of the Sanderson family, stood on the steps, looking down at Gerard.

"The Sanderson family is too arrogant for us to associate with.

If Mr. Sanderson is willing to hand over my sister-in-law, we'll take her and leave, never to have any dealings with the Sanderson family again. Otherwise, we'll search every inch of this place to find her!"

Gerard's voice was calm but carried a chilling determination.

The head of the Sanderson family was momentarily stunned but replied, "We haven't seen Miss Miranda."

Gerard wasted no more words and ordered his men to search.

The Sanderson family erupted in outrage, but at that moment, Cason stepped forward.
