Windy's face shifted from confusion to realization, followed by a shy, bashful expression.

Lilah curiously studied her daughter-was this still the same little girl she knew?

Finally, Windy revealed her little dilemma.

She still remembered her promise to invite the little boy over to meet her mother.

"Mommy, the man who gave me a present last time—that gentleman-is the little boy's butler."

Lilah froze for a moment, her mind drifting back to what Gerard had mentioned before.

That family had ties to a certain foreign power.

Coincidentally, that power had recently undergone restructuring and appointed a new heir, which explained the recent stirrings.

Previously, they had little interaction with domestic affairs and posed no threat to the Harris family, so they hadn't been given much attention.

But if there was any connection to Tangtang..

The thought made Lilah hesitate.

The new heir hadn't started a family, and his siblings had all faced unexpected incidents. So, what was the relationship between this child and him?

Could it be.. a child born out of wedlock? That seemed to be the only plausible explanation.

Was it really wise to let someone like this interact with Tangtang?

Lilah found herself at a crossroads, unsure of what to do.

Tangtang, noticing her mother's silence after she finished speaking, tilted her head up to glance at her.

She immediately spotted Lilah's strange expression and began to worry.

Could it be that Mommy didn't like this older boy?

"Mommy, what's wrong?"

Tangtang tugged at Lilah's sleeve, her voice tinged with concern. Snapping out of her thoughts, Lilah realized her demeanor might have unsettled Tangtang.

She quickly pulled her daughter into a hug to reassure her.

"Mommy's fine, sweetheart. I just remembered something suddenly," she said, offering a warm smile.

But deep down, Lilah had already reached a decision.

As Tangtang's mother, she loved her daughter deeply and respected her feelings. She couldn't impose her own will to prevent Tangtang from making new friends.
