At that moment, Chenzhou and Tangtang had just finished watching the northern lights. Seeing the message from his brother-in-Law, Chenzhou raised an eyebrow.
Tangtang noticed his expression and leaned over to peek at his phone.
"Huh? What does my brother want with you?"
"Not sure. Let me ask."
Chenzhou replied, Letting Jerrold know they wouldn't be back anytime soon, but that he could share whatever was on his mind.
Jerrold hesitated for a moment before sending his question.
"Oh my gosh!"Tangtang exclaimed with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, clearly enjoying the familial gossip.
"My brother's asking how you managed to woo me!"
Her gaze sparkled with curiosity.
"Does this mean he's got a crush on someone? Chenzhou, you have to find out!"
Chenzhou nodded and sent Jerrold a guide he'd once found online about winning someone's heart. Then, he followed up with Tangtang's question.
But after receiving the guide, Jerrold didn't reply.
Tangtang waited and waited, but no response came. She pouted and, in her impatience, decided to call Lilah.
"Mommy~ How have you been lately? Did you know my brother might have a crush on someone? He even asked Chenzhou what gifts to give a girl!"
Hearing this, Lilah perked up, her curiosity piqued.
But she wasn't sure if her son truly Liked someone.
"Hold on, Tangtang. Let me do some digging. I'll let you know what I find out."
After ending the call, Lilah set aside some time to meet with Jerrold's assistant. She wanted to inquire about her son's recent romantic life.
The assistant, upon realizing why Lilah had sought him out, immediately thought of all the dramatic scenarios that could play out in their wealthy family. He quickly decided that Jerrold's budding romance needed to be protected.
Adjusting his glasses, he put on a professional smile.
"Mrs. Harris, you must be joking. Mr. Harris's schedule has been so demanding that he's had no opportunity for social engagements, much Less romantic ones."
He denied it outright.
Though disappointed, Lilah wasn't fully convinced.
She knew her son well. If there wasn't a reason, he wouldn't have asked Chenzhou for advice on relationships.
