Yet, Lilah's gaze narrowed and, with astonishing speed, she seized the heads of two individuals, forcefully colliding them, followed by a mighty kick to another assailant's side.
In a mere matter of moments, these assailants lay sprawled on the ground, gasping for breath. The remaining troublemakers cast furtive glances at Lilah and swiftly retreated.
Lilah fixed her gaze on the lone girl still standing.
The girl was left dumbfounded; this seemingly delicate lady had proven to be an adept combatant. Lilah had bested all of her associates!
As Lilah moved toward her, the girl's trepidation led her to take hesitant steps backward, though she did not withhold her sharp words.
“How dare you lay hands on me! I was merely attempting to guide you toward a nobler path. Snatching your best friend's boyfriend? Such actions befit no honorable person!"
"When exactly did I steal her boyfriend?" Lilah responded with an air of nonchalance. “And when did Gerard openly declare himself as her boyfriend?"
"They even share a child!"
“You don't seem to grasp anything Gerard says. You're completely disconnected from reality!"
The girl's face reddened as she retorted, “Ruby isn't like that.
Gerard must have been ensnared by your charms to forsake Ruby!"
Lilah, with no inclination for argument, posed a question. "Do you understand why you crossed paths with me today?"
The girl sneered and said, “Because you've greatly offended Ruby's devoted fans and we've had someone tailing you."
Lilah elucidated, "No. Let me clarify it for you. This isn't my usual route. I simply passed through here on my way home because Ruby invited me for dinner. Were it not for her, I wouldn't be here."
Even the most obtuse of individuals could grasp the situation but the girl was resolute in her disbelief, convinced that her idol wouldn't stoop to scheming against a friend.
"You're fabricating stories. I don't buy it!"
Lilah shot back, "Believe what you want!"
She extracted her phone and dialed the police. When the girl attempted to flee, Lilah restrained her.
The police arrived promptly, apprehending the culprits. After providing her statement, Lilah made her way back home.
Meanwhile, Ruby impatiently awaited good news, only to receive a message informing her that they had all been taken to the police station. Her frustration grew. How could this group of people fail to deal with Lilah?
She sent Lilah a concerned message. "Lilah, I heard you were cornered.
Are you alright?"
However, she noticed a mark beside her message after she sent it, indicating that Lilah had blocked her.
Ruby's world felt as though it had plunged into the depths of icy waters. It appeared that Lilah had grown suspicious of her.
