At Starlight Mansion, Lilah, too, laid her eyes upon the post.

Although she had already realized it was Ruby's trick, it still stung her heart to see the substantial evidence.

After all, she had once considered Ruby her dearest friend.

Brief, though, was this grip of sorrow, for there existed a more important matter. It was none other than the imminent Global Jewelry Designers Competition.

The Design Association had initiated their national trials not too long ago, a meticulous selection process that handpicked five designers to take part in the competition held in Fauwille. Lilah, graced with the privilege of an invitation, remained exempt from this grueling domestic showdown.

At this juncture, the five contenders had been anointed and one of them was Phoebe, the illustrious victor of the previous national competition.

With the impending journey looming just two days hence and unless fate played its capricious hand, the competition would unfold over the course of a week.

As the clock ticked and destiny beckoned, Lilah needed to make arrangements for her responsibilities at Aurora Jewelers well in advance.

The news of Phoebe's imminent sojourn abroad to partake in this international contest had already rippled through the corridors of the company.

The colleagues stood as one in awe of her.

"Phoebe, your brilliance knows no bounds! You've got this in the bag!"

“Word has it that L.P is also gracing the stage. Would you secure her autograph for me?"

"We extend to you our most fervent blessings! The world shall bear witness to our talent!"

With humility as her guide, Phoebe graciously accepted the outpouring of goodwill before making her way to Lilah's office.

"What's the matter?" Lilah's discerning gaze locked onto Phoebe, an intuition that foreshadowed her friend's imminent confession. "Feeling the pressure?"

A subtle nod from Phoebe confirmed her worries. “Indeed. Back when I ventured into the crucible of the national contest, I was awash with nerves but now, on the precipice of the global stage, I'm seized by a paralyzing fear. What if I falter? The reputation of our homeland is what's at stake."

Such colossal pressure had the capacity to burden even the most resolute of souls.

Without resorting to hollow consolations, Lilah offered a simple promise. "I will be there too."

Phoebe's eyes ignited with newfound hope. “Truly? Why did your name elude me on the roster?"

In a moment of realization, she amended her query. "Ah, of course!

The Design Association reserves a place for a special guest. My, Miss Phillips, you are truly extraordinary. Now, in my estimation, you rival my greatest idol!"

Curiosity piqued, Lilah inquired, "And who might that be?"

Phoebe, swelling with pride, answered, "None other than L.P. Her brilliance knows no bounds. Each of her creations shines as a paragon of excellence and when she unveils a new masterpiece, I dedicate months to its meticulous study. What truly sets her apart though is her modesty; she abstains from the ostentation favored by many designers. Most notably, rumor has it she hails from Hualand."

Phoebe concluded with an ardent hope, saying, “It would be a marvel if she graced this competition with her presence. Her brilliance would surely outshine the stars in Fauwille! Alas, she eschews the limelight and shuns competitive endeavors. Nevertheless, her talent stands as a testament to itself, unmarred by the trappings of contests."
