Ruby let out a bloodcurdling scream and threw the scissors to the floor, shattering it into two pieces.

One of them scratched her leg, but she did not even notice it.

Ruby regarded the screen intently. Gerard's gaze was incredibly tender as he glanced at Lilah.

Why? How come Gerard still chose Lilah despite not knowing the truth?

Ruby let out a groan. If only Lilah were dead, this would not have happened.

Meanwhile, Lilah could not leave Fauwille with the other contestants, even though the competition was over. She still had to go to the Hualand Design Association's party and to the jewelry exhibition.

“Originally, Fauwille had no plan on featuring any jewelry made in Hualand. After the competition, however, several people reached out to designers from Hualand in the hopes that their jewelry could be shown here."

Damon stood in front of the jewelry display and sighed deeply, feeling a little emotional. “Lilah, you may not realize it, but your participation in the competition has changed the fate of many Hualand designers."

“Everyone has been working extremely hard to show the world the jewelry of Hualand, so it isn't only me who changed their fate."

Lilah continued unassumingly, “There are a lot of designers out there who are more talented than I am, but they don't brag about it. I'm just standing on the shoulders of giants."

Damon was blown away by Lilah's words.

Lilah, despite winning the competition, maintained her modest demeanor. It was unusual for someone of her status. She would definitely achieve even greater things because she was a wonderful person; Damon was sure of it.

The visit to the jewelry exhibition marked the end of her travels.

Damon and a few others were also making the trip back. After saying goodbye to them, Lilah checked her phone.

Gerard had sent her a message. “Do you want to have dinner together?"

Instead of responding to the message, Lilah called Gerard.

“Everything's done on my end."

“Perfect timing. I have dinner all set up. Would you like to meet up?"

“Sure.”

After Lilah got the address, she decided to walk there.

The location indicated a small villa, which turned out to be an independent restaurant.

The staff at the restaurant had just finished their jobs. The restaurant was decorated with balloons and ribbons, adding a romantic vibe to the ambiance. There were petals of white jasmine scattered on the floor. It was the kind of sight that would make every woman swoon, but it was a lot less attractive than the man waiting for Lilah at the door.

"I'd give anything to be his girl. She must have done something extraordinary in another life to land someone like him."

"Seriously! He's got looks, money, and thoughtfulness. Who's the lucky girl?"
