“Our future together."

A rosy hue painted her cheeks. “Jumping straight to marriage without even dating?"

He leaned in, brushing a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Then how about we start dating?"

She hesitated, thinking of past heartbreaks. "Fine, we date as a trial run. If it works, we talk about marriage."

Lilah was unsure how Gerard would react. But love had always felt risky because of past experiences with Iker.

With a twinkle in his eye, Gerard responded, “Challenge accepted. So, when's our first date?"

“The day after tomorrow? I'm swamped tomorrow."

“Sounds good."

After their conversation, Gerard escorted Lilah to her door, lingering until she was safely inside.

The following day passed uneventfully.

Come their planned date, Lilah found herself rifling through her wardrobe, never quite satisfied.

Had she always had so few clothes?

Her phone buzzed with a text from Gerard.

"ALL set?"

Lilah responded swiftly, “In a while.”

Eventually settling on a simple white dress, she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed out.

When she stepped outside, her eyes immediately landed on a striking figure.

Gerard stood there in black leisure attire, leaning nonchalantly against a wall. A stark black belt emphasized his fit torso; his long legs gave him an even taller appearance.

Instead of his usual slicked-back hairstyle, Gerard sported a deep side part today. It lent him a more youthful charm. Even in the world of showbiz, few men could rival his allure.

He studied Lilah intently. Seeing her in white was a revelation for him; she looked ethereal, almost angelic.

"Ready to roll?" Lilah murmured, a hint of red tinting her cheeks due to his intense scrutiny.

Without a word, Gerard nodded.

Side by side, they moved toward the elevator. An unusual tension hung in the air.

Lilah found herself avoiding Gerard's gaze. He'd always been a Looker, but today he was positively breathtaking.
