“Yes, thanks to your care," Gerard acknowledged, his eyes warm and appreciative.

Lilah's smile deepened. "No need for formalities with me."

She then remembered their earlier conversation. “About what we discussed last night... do you have time for it tomorrow?"

“I'll make time," Gerard assured. Of course, he had to prioritize their plans.

The next morning dawned clear and bright.

Eagerly, Andrew awoke early and drove to Lilah's residential area, his car holding a bouquet of stunningly fresh roses. He had paid extra attention to his attire, choosing a stylish black casual outfit, which, along with his perfectly styled hair, turned heads.

“Isn't he handsome?"

"Those blue eyes. They're like the depths of the ocean!"

When he heard such remarks, Andrew's smile turned playful, his charm evidently undeniable.

Resolved not to be outshone by Gerard, Andrew saw this as his opportunity to impress.

Andrew felt quite confident.

Even the weather today seemed to be in his favor.

Finally, a familiar figure walked out of the gate, and Andrew became instantly captivated.

Lilah was wearing a white dress that was tightened at the waist. She looked exceptionally gentle and fresh. Her pure and lovely face was like a beautiful jasmine flower. There was also a faint smile on her Lips.

Andrew was totally overjoyed. He felt that Lilah must be elated to have a date with him.

But just when he was about to float up into the clouds on wings of happiness, he saw a man walking behind her. Instantly, his mood changed and he became annoyed.

Gerard had actually come with her! Not only that, he was also wearing white casual clothes, looking much more relaxed and several years younger than his age. As the two of them walked together, they looked like a perfect match.

Andrew's face darkened as he watched them.

At the moment, Lilah was expressing her surprise that Gerard was wearing the same color as her. "What a coincidence!" she said and giggled.

"Yeah, I thought that since we rarely get to go out, I decided that I shouldn't wear a black suit. I felt like doing something different today," Gerard said with a smile. The smile was still on his face when he looked up and saw Andrew, but there was a hint of coldness in his eyes. "After all, this is the first time we'll be showing Mr. Fowler around Eleywood. I'm sure you'll have a good time, Mr. Fowler," he said in a tone that belied his dislike for Andrew.

Lilah, on the other hand, quickly explained to Andrew, “Actually, I don't know much about Eleywood. You know, I had been away for about five years. But Gerard has always lived in Eleywood, and he happened to be available to take us around. So it's a great opportunity.”

Andrew's face remained dark. He felt that this coincidence was too convenient. Was this guy doing it on purpose?

“Yeah. I know a lot of interesting places in Eleywood," Gerard said confidently. But when he saw the look on Andrew's face, he asked him, “Mr. Fowler, why do you have that expression? Don't you believe me?"

"Of course I believe you, Andrew replied almost through gritted teeth.
