Damn! Andrew cursed in his mind. Did Gerard think he would back down because of his presence?

Andrew was planning to make Lilah realize that Gerard was not the right person for her.

He was deep in thought as he sat behind the wheel, driving. Before long, they arrived at their first destination.

It was an ancient architectural site in Eleywood that many tourists liked to visit.

It was cool and pleasant in the morning time.

With her backpack on her back, Lilah looked around the place. Just then, Andrew sighed and said, "Look at the couples in front of us.

The guys are all carrying their girlfriends’ bags. I thought this was a popular custom in Hualand, but why isn't Mr. Harris..."

He believed that a noble and proud man like Gerard wouldn't do such a thing for Lilah.

But then, before Andrew could finish the sentence, Gerard asked Lilah in a gentle tone, "Shall I carry it for you?"

"No need. It's not very heavy. Don't forget that you're still injured,"

Lilah reminded him. But Gerard insisted, saying, "I injured my arm, not my shoulders."

Then he took the backpack from her hands.

Even though a man carrying a woman's bag looked a bit awkward, it still didn't diminish his handsomeness.

One of the passers-by couldn't help but comment admiringly, “Wow, I envy this girl. Her boyfriend is so handsome and considerate!

Gerard held Lilah's hand in his and sported a small smile on his lips.

Andrew's face became as dark as a thunderstorm as he watched all these.

Gerard was pretending! He must be! Andrew thought to himself and promptly made up his mind to expose his true nature soon.

Funny enough, Gerard didn't really isolate or ignore Andrew. In fact, he spoke to him, diligently recounting stories about the ancient architecture.

Before long, it was nearing noon. The weather had gotten much hotter, so Lilah bought three ice creams. While they were eating, Andrew “accidentally” bumped into Lilah, causing her ice cream to land on Gerard's clothes.

It stained his white jacket quite badly.

“Oh, I'm so sorry," Lilah apologized.

Even Andrew pretended to be concerned and said, "Oh, this looks Like it would be tough to clean. Mr. Harris, is this outfit new?"

Having done his homework; he knew Gerard had an obsession with cleanliness, and hence, couldn't stand such situations.

He was trying to see if Gerard would lose his temper now.
