“Sorry, but I got here first," Lilah answered coldly, and then added, “What makes you think women can't shoot arrows?"

Gerry laughed. "There are very few women here, and they don't play well. If you have so much time on your hands, you should just go and grab some toys instead. You know what? If you really want to play, I can personally teach you." As he spoke, he looked Lilah up and down with an unsettling gaze and tried holding her hand.

Lilah raised her hand to slap his away, but another hand came in and slapped Gerry's hand hard.

With a small yelp of pain, Gerry looked back angrily and saw a beautiful girl with bright eyes glaring at him. She was not as beautiful as Lilah, but she was definitely a beauty.

"Gorgeous, what was that about? You just hurt me. Should I return the favor?" Gerry mused in a sultry voice.

Laura's eyes were icy cold as she stared at him. "My friend here has already taken this spot. You can't ask her to step aside. Please leave."

"What's going on? Why are so many women playing archery today? If you like it that much, I can gladly teach you," Gerry said in mockery.

Laura's gaze hardened. "I see you're a misogynist. Tell you what, I'll compete with you, and if you lose, you apologize."

“sure. And if we win, you'll go get some toys with us later on!"

Gerry agreed without hesitation.

The two men that came with him smirked, and one of them teased, "You don't stand a chance of winning, Miss. Don't say we didn't warn you."

Marlene was disgusted with these men's attitude. Seeing Laura stand so boldly against them made Marlene admire her even more. She walked to her side and snarled at the men, "Stop talking and play. We'll know who doesn't stand a chance then.

Marlene had just seen how good Laura was, and she was definitely above the average person.

“We'll shoot three arrows and see whose score is higher," Gerry said and picked up his bow and arrow.

Laura nodded in agreement to his terms.

Lilah just stared at them in her corner.

Gerard's attention was also drawn to what was happening on the other side of the archery hall. Seeing that Gerard and his friends were looking in their direction, Marlene walked up to them and explained to them. After understanding what was going on, Walter started cheering Laura on. He hated men like that Gerry person.

Naturally, many other people surrounded them to watch the match. It was certainly going to be fun.

Some people praised the different competitors, while other mocked them.

“Gerry is an excellent archer here. Can this girl really beat him?"

“I don't think she'll be able to."

“I support the girl. Women can be just as good as men."

Gerry stood in position and shot the first arrow.

His first arrow hit the seventh ring.
