Most of the people present were from wealthy families, but none of them were wealthy enough to have ever met someone like Gerard before.

Laura too shook her head and sighed in defeat while Marlene Lashed out in irritation. "I told you that Lilah doesn't know how to use a bow and arrow. She just wanted to drag you into this."

"Don't worry. Gerard and the others are here. They won't let us get in trouble," Laura said softly.

“Of course, that's all she can do-rely on men. She's so useless.

She's not even in the same league as you!" Marlene scoffed hatefully.

Gerry was a little wary at first, but when Lilah hit so low, he relaxed and became once again confident. The woman really knew nothing about archery.

He smiled and said, “Beauty, just give up so we don't waste everyone's time. Why don't we play something else?"

The words were barely out of his mouth when Lilah released her second arrow.

With a satisfying sound, it hit the board.

This time, the room fell silent.

She had hit the bull's eye.

"Awesome!" Walter suddenly shouted, breaking the spell that had gripped the room.

Marlene's eyes were wide in disbelief. How was it possible? Lilah did score just three points seconds ago. How could she suddenly hit a ten? Without any explanation, Marlene decided that it had to be Luck.

Everyone seemed to think the same way. It just had to be luck. Gerry chuckled awkwardly and said, "You seem to have some good Luck. Go on.

One last try."

Then, Lilah shot the last arrow.

"Wow!"

“Seriously?”

"She's so Lucky!"

Once again, it hit the bull's eye. Gerry's face darkened. “It's impossible! You must just be very Lucky.”

Someone from the crowd suddenly said, “She scored 23 points and is one point ahead of that guy. Did she plan it this way?"

Everyone started thinking of this. If she really deliberately scored low the first time, then she was definitely proficient in archery.

Gerry, however, couldn't resign himself to accept his defeat. “No, it doesn't count. You just got lucky. Let's play another round.”

With a snort, Lilah picked up the bow and two arrows and shot them at the same time, both hitting the bull's eye perfectly.
