“How dare you hit me? Don't you want to get out of this room?" the man said angrily.

Lilah frowned. Was this really a part of the mission?

She wasn't convinced. She was still very disgusted with what the man had just tried to do. "What's the next task then?" she asked warily.

“You have to cooperate with me, the man answered, walking toward Lilah with his towering body.

Lilah didn't flinch. She tilted her head slowly and asked, "And how should I do that?"

"Simple. Don't move." Then the man pounced on her again, this time, going for her clothes with the intention of tearing them off.

Lilah grabbed the man's hand and threw him to the floor. With a groan of pain, the man curled up like a ball.

"How dare you hit me? You're going to be locked in here forever!"

"Ooh, really? I'm so scared!"

“Scared now, huh? Then be good and just obey. Don't move." The man clearly didn't get the sarcasm in her voice. He stood up once again and walked toward her.

"ARI"

This time, the scream that left his lips seemed to penetrate through the roof.

Her powerful punch made it hard for him to bring his head down for a long time. He held his chin with his hand and was in so much pain that sweat rolled off his head and dropped to the floor.

"You.. bitch." He was in too much pain coupled with anger to make a full sentence.

Lilah moved her wrist to relax it. This was certainly not a normal task of the haunted house.

She thought back to the afternoon when the manager welcomed them.

Something was off then. Almost everyone knew she was with Gerard.

Even if the manager didn't recognize her, it was strange that he thought Laura and Gerard were together. Not only that, but he also thought that Jerrold was Laura and Gerard's child.

It was so fake that Lilah could still feel it.

It seemed that someone was really working hard to separate her and Gerard.

“You scolded and threatened me. Unfortunately, those are the two things I hate the most." As Lilah spoke, she slowly walked toward the man.

The man trembled in fear, a cold chill gripping his whole body.

"What do you want to do?" His lips quivered.

"I thought you said I'd never leave this room if I hit you. I just want to find out how true that is," Lilah answered with a smile.
