Walter and Bryan watched in disbelief. The man was quite tall, towering over many, but Lilah had skillfully taken him down.

"Lilah, when did you learn to fight like that? You're incredible!"

Walter couldn't hide his admiration.

"I learned a few years back," Lilah responded nonchalantly.

"Bring him here," Gerard ordered, his voice cold and commanding.

Laura, although feeling uneasy, tried to appear supportive. "He needs to face the consequences for his actions," she said.

Soon, the man was brought before them. Tall and muscular, he was intimidating in size but clearly scared in their presence.

“Who told you to do this?" Gerard demanded, his voice dripping with disdain.

“It's a scare tactic for the haunted house," the man replied nervously.

Gerard's gaze hardened. "How come I wasn't informed about this?"

The staff member nearby seemed just as puzzled. Gerard's command was swift, "Get your manager here."

The manager arrived, hastily explaining, "Mr. Harris, we recently introduced this to the haunted house as a novel attraction. It's intended to be a harmless scare for entertainment, nothing more."

"Is that right?" Gerard's skepticism was evident. "If you're introducing a new feature, shouldn't it be advertised to draw in more participants?"

The idea of advertising such a tactic seemed counterproductive to the manager. If people knew about this, attendance might drop, and the club could face backlash.

“Mr. Harris, I apologize. We'll rectify this immediately. It won't happen again!" the manager hastily promised Gerard.

“It's too late," Gerard replied, his voice icy. He then directed his attention to the burly man. “Take him away."

A security guard quickly escorted the man, leaving Marlene and Laura puzzled. Lilah was unharmed, so why was Gerard so stern?

The man's legs shook as he stammered, "Mr. Harris, what are you planning?"

Gerard, unfazed, replied, "Since you seem to like harassing people, I'll see to it that you get your fill."

The man's face fell. He knew of Gerard's reputation for being ruthless and feared the worst. Scared, he began to plead, "Mr. Harris, I'm so sorry! And Miss, I apologize to you too."

Lilah, however, remained disinterested and didn't respond.

Realizing the gravity of his situation, the man grew desperate. "It wasn't my idea, someone else-"

Laura intervened. "Gerard, he crossed a line with Lilah. We shouldn't let this go unchecked," she said, her voice firm. “It's important to make an example to deter future incidents."

Her eyes were cold as she looked at the man, who fell silent, his head bowed in fear.
