“Marlene, you're brilliant. This way, we won't have anything to worry about. We'll simply wait for the Phillips Group to go bankrupt."
Everyone praised her.
"Lilah is just an idiot. She treats our inferior architect like a treasure," she said smugly.
Looking at Marlene, Lance remarked, "You've handled this matter quite well, but don't let your guard down. Stay focused on the upcoming project, alright?"
"Don't worry, Lance. I won't," Marlene replied with a smile.
“Yes, I've seen Marlene get off work late the last couple of days."
The other senior executives kept flattering her.
Loving this kind of feeling, Marlene held up her head slightly.
At first, Marlene perceived Lilah as a formidable force. However, this was only the first project Marlene was in charge of and she easily outperformed Lilah.
Lance analyzed, "The Phillips Group can't afford such substantial liquidated damages. When that happens, we'll seize the opportunity to acquire the Phillips Group and make it our supplier...”
This had always been the Dillon Group's plan.
Everyone listened carefully.
ALL of a sudden, someone's expression changed drastically after taking a look at his phone.
"Oh, no!"
“What's wrong?" Lance looked at the man.
“Mr. Phillips, look!" The man handed his phone to Lance.
Lance clicked on it and played the recording.
“Indeed, you never had the copyright. Ha-ha, you feigned ownership, causing me countless sleepless nights."
"Samira, we both know the true designer."
It was a conversation between a man and a woman, and those familiar with them could easily discern that the woman's voice belonged to Samira. Furthermore, the man on the recording even mentioned her name.
The man was Ewing.
The unexpected news made everyone who had been supporting the Dillon Group change their allegiance.
Marlene didn't expect the conversation between Samira and Ewing to be recorded.
The meeting ended urgently, and Samira was called to the office.
