Brenda suddenly asked.

“She majored in literature. She likes writing articles and poems and she even wants to be an author. So she's not planning to work in a company. I just don't know how that can be possible," Jenna said with a helpless sigh.

"Well, she can simply work from home. Do you want to write novels at home, Elva?" Brenda asked.

Elva nodded shyly.

This gave Brenda a good impression of her. "That's not bad. I like literary people because they are always pure-minded and well-educated.

Most people nowadays are just too reckless and shallow. By the way, have you written any books?" she asked curiously.

"Yes, I have," Elva nodded enthusiastically.

“Excellent! Jenna, you can't stop her. She'll surely become the author she wants to be. How wonderful!" Brenda praised excitedly.

"Well," Jenna sighed with a smile on her face, "I only wish that she can be more outgoing and social. She needs to follow in Lilah's footsteps so she can meet different people and interact with them. I just feel she's too obsessed with literature. She doesn't even know how to talk to people properly."

Though her words sounded like a compliment to Lilah, Lilah wasn't happy with them, She couldn't help but think that Jenna was being sarcastic.

Brenda immediately responded to Jenna, “Everyone has their own advantages. Lilah is competent, yes, but Elva has her own path too.

You can't force her too much."

"Okay, I understand," Jenna nodded.

Before long, lunch was ready.

Jenna deliberately made Elva sit right next to Gerard. As a result, Elva became even more shy and sheepish than ever. "Hello, Gerard," she greeted him nervously.

Because of their relationship, it was normal for her to call him by his first name. But when she did this, the atmosphere felt weird. It was as if they were intimate.

Gerard glanced at her and said, "Please call me Mr. Harris."

"Okay, Mr. Harris," Elva nodded.

This title instantly distanced her from him.

At this point, Jenna smilingly intervened, “That's just the way most people address Gerard. It's not a big deal at all, Elva. You can call him whatever you like. By the way, Gerard, your company still has script writing positions, right? Elva, if you have any questions concerning that, you can always ask Gerard."

Elva's eyes lit up immediately and she nodded enthusiastically.

But Gerard didn't say anything in response. All he did was put more food on Lilah's plate. Then he asked her if she liked it.

“Sure. I love these homemade dishes. They're yummy!" Lilah said with a smile, looking highly satisfied.

"I'm glad you love the food, Lilah," Brenda said with a bright smile.
