Elva winced at the barbed remark but swiftly countered, "Says the one who deceives herself!"
She turned to Saul. "Now, call security and remove this woman!"
Saul hesitated. Instinctively, he found Lilah bearing a stronger resemblance to A Fond Dream, yet Elva had just arrived with A Fond Dream's confirmation via WhatsApp. Logically, she should be A Fond Dream.
"Well, why not both of you prove who the real A Fond Dream is?" Saul suggested cautiously.
Elva's countenance darkened, revealing her simmering anger. She retrieved her phone and presented an electronic contract. “Mr. Campbell, have you forgotten? This is the signed contract!"
Saul glanced at the contract and conceded, “Apologies, that was my mistake."
Lilah chuckled softly. "It's merely a contract. What does it truly prove? Why don't you sign it now and have it authenticated to ascertain if you're truly A Fond Dream?"
"Stop wasting time, Lilah. Authentication will take days, and who knows if you'll tamper with it!" Elva interjected sternly.
Her demeanor, combined with the contract, swayed some fans in their support.
Furthermore, Lilah was the CEO of the Phillips Group, Gerard's girlfriend, and a world-known jewelry designer. She was already so excellent. Could she still be the famous author, A Fond Dream?
“I think she is A Fond Dream," a fan in front pointed at Elva, casting a disapproving look at Lilah. "Miss Phillips, please refrain from causing trouble. Today is about us, the fans."
She couldn't exactly explain why, but she felt someone as beautiful as Lilah couldn't possibly be A Fond Dream.
Jealousy might have influenced her judgment.
Lilah glanced at her without uttering a word, tapping her phone with her fingers.
Elva felt empowered by the support and provocatively challenged Lilah, "Lilah, do you have anything else to say? If you can't prove yourself, kindly Leave and spare everyone's time."
Lilah remained silent, her attention still fixated on her phone.
Brenda and her friends at the rear were equally perplexed.
One among them questioned, "What's happening? With two A Fond Dreams, who do you think is the real one?"
"I can't tell!"
Brenda scrutinized both figures and decisively fixed her gaze on Lilah, stating, "It's Lilah!"
“Why are you so sure?"
“Because I know Lilah doesn't lie," Brenda affirmed firmly. Her unwavering belief disappointed her in Elva. Brenda had held high expectations, unaware that Elva was nothing but a phony! And this imposter had the audacity to impersonate her future daughter-in-law!
Elva had crossed a Line.
As Lilah persistently ignored her, Elva, infuriated, summoned the security.
