Elva didn't want this. She was a young woman; half a year's imprisonment meant facing judgmental eyes upon emergence.
Elva deeply regretted it. She pleaded, “Lilah, I was wrong! It was a moment of confusion. Please spare me; we're relatives, after all!"
As soon as she spoke, everyone understood the truth: Elva was pretending to be A Fond Dream!
Jenna's face drained of color. How could such a deceitful person come from the Glyn family?
"If there's an issue, go talk to the police," Lilah said indifferently.
"No!" Elva resisted but was eventually taken away by the police.
Seeing Elva taken away, Jenna couldn't bear to stay and swiftly departed.
Those who had previously doubted Lilah now wished they could find a hole to hide in; mistaking their idol was truly embarrassing and made them feel unworthy.
Meanwhile, other fans were ecstatic. Finally, they could get their idol's autograph and capture a photo with her!
"Now, let's start the autograph session. Please line up and don't push..." Saul announced.
The queue had long formed, and Lilah politely asked each person if they desired a photo. The fans blushed, nearly fainting with excitement.
In a corner, someone clenched their clothes.
Tess would have preferred Elva to be the real A Fond Dream rather than Lilah.
How could it be Lilah? What qualifications did she have?
A hint of fierceness flashed in Tess' eyes.
Several hours passed, and it was Brenda's turn.
Lilah smiled gently at Brenda, who was excited. "Give me your autograph, I want ten autographs! Lilah, I've always been your fan.”
“Thank you." Lilah smiled.
As midnight approached, Lilah remained seated, graciously signing for each person.
At 2 a.m., she finally bid farewell to the last individual. Leaning back in her chair, she felt sore all over.
Saul couldn't help but express concern. “A Fond Dream, you've worked so hard! Are you tired?"
"Very tired, but it's worth it." Lilah realized that had she not come today, she wouldn't have known the depth of her fans' affection for her. Some had hurried back from abroad, while others endured over ten-hour train journeys just to see her. Indeed, words held an infectious power.
“It's late. Are you going back?" Or are you resting at a nearby hotel?"
"I'll go back."
