A familiar Rolls-Royce pulled up, unmistakably Gerard's car.

As they got into the car, they noticed Gerard, but who was the man beside him?

More shocking was the fact that Gerard was holding that man's hand.

Both Effie and Walter were stunned.

Effie reacted first. "Gerard, what... what are you doing? How could you do this? What about Lilah?"

Gerard replied with a cold face, "You're meddling too much."

What? Blaming her? Effie didn't expect her brother to stoop so low.

Not only that, Jerrold was also leaning on this man's arm, looking obedient.

It wasn't just her older brother betraying Lilah; Jerrold had betrayed her too! It appeared they had been together for quite a while.

Effie couldn't fathom how heartbroken Lilah would be if she knew about all this.

“Who are you? Let me tell you, my brother has a girlfriend! And my mom won't accept you!" Effie gritted her teeth, staring at the man beside Gerard.

This man had long, black, wolf-cut hair, and his face was neat with a slightly feminine demeanor. He was undeniably handsome.

But when the man spoke, Effie was dumbfounded.

She stared at the “man" in disbelief. “You... you are..."

"It's me."

Lilah was supposed to come to Effie's rescue, as the latter suggested.

Who would have thought someone beat her to it?

Lilah took off her wig, revealing a cascade of silky long hair.

Effie finally confirmed that it was Lilah. “I asked you to find a handsome guy to help me, and you came by yourself?"

“Yes," Lilah replied casually.

"Oh my goodness! Lilah, you're amazing! I couldn't tell it was you at all! So handsome!" Effie rushed over, pushed Gerard aside, and hugged Lilah.

Gerard's handsome face instantly darkened. He wished he could kick his sister out of his car.

They decided to have dinner together. On the way, Lilah asked Effie how she figured out that Fritz had a problem.

"I'm mot a fool. He seemed eager to pursue me, but a glint of ambition shimmered in his eyes. Digging deeper, I discovered he's the son of John, our company's former board member. Lately, Fritz has been in close contact with Tess. I suspect Tess might have influenced him. All it takes is one snapshot of us together, even in an ambiguous setting, and Tess will undoubtedly exploit it to affect our drama," Effie analyzed.
