Jenna was visibly pleased. The effort put into Vera's tutoring seemed to have paid off. "Well done, sweetheart! If you top the class, I'll get you a new phone," she promised.

Vera nodded enthusiastically.

The surrounding parents overheard and couldn't hide their envy.

Although they didn't think highly of Jerrold, Vera's confidence proved that the Harris family's reputation for excellence remained unchallenged.

Then, Jerrold appeared, a teacher close behind him.

“Excuse me, are you Jerrold's parents?" the teacher asked, approaching them.

When Lilah nodded in acknowledgement, the teacher said, "Good. Please come with me for a moment."

Following the teacher's lead, Lilah and Gerard went over together.

When the others saw this, they were quite puzzled.

A child with an adorable voice said, "This little buddy finished the exam in less than ten minutes!"

"Yeah! He handed both his exams very quickly!" Vera chimed in, with a hint of disdain in her tone.

She was sure that Jerrold didn't actually write anything. It was probably because of that that the teacher wanted to talk to his parents.

Jenna and the others felt the same way. Thinking of this, she couldn't help but sneer in her heart. She thought that Jerrold had performed poorly. In fact, he might not have even bothered to take the exam!

Did he think he could get admitted solely based on his father's influence?

Unfortunately for him, Newington Elementary School wasn't just any other school.

Jenna purposely looked at Brenda and said, "Jerrold seems to be really talented. The others needed an hour to finish the exam, but he finished much faster than that! Lilah must've been teaching him well at home, right?"

Her tone was dripping with sarcasm, perhaps because Brenda had indirectly ridiculed her earlier.

To her dismay, Brenda was unfazed by her comments. “Jerrold has always been outstanding," she retorted.

Hearing this, Jenna gnashed her teeth.

Stubborn old lady! She cursed in her heart. She would wait and see what Brenda would say when the results came out.

Most parents didn't leave because the system of Newington Elementary School was very efficient. In half an hour after the exams, the results and ranking would be released.

Believing that her daughter might get into the top three, Jenna chose to stay.

She also wanted to see the embarrassed look on Jerrold's face when the result finally got out.

After a while, Lilah, Gerard, and Jerrold came out.
