Lilah looked at Jenna and narrowed her eyes at her. “What are you talking about?"

"I mean, there's no need to put too much pressure on Jerrold. After all, Newington Elementary School has such high standards," Jenna gently explained.

"Jerrold is in the first place," Lilah said matter-of-factly, her impatience evident on her face.

As soon as she heard this, Jenna's jaw slacked.

Was that a joke?

Jenna immediately checked the first name on the list. Just as Lilah had said, Jerrold's name was listed on the number one spot.

Jenna refused to believe the results and thought that Jerrold must have used some connections to land the top spot. However, she also thought this to be the case last time after the painting competition and ended up getting slapped in the face by reality.

But how could that kid be so amazing? Jenna couldn't make sense of it.

Hearing this, the parents nearby shifted the focus of their praise.

"Wow! Mr. Gerard Harris' son is amazing!"

“That's right! Even though Jerrold is still young, he's already so smart!"

The more compliments about Jerrold Jenna heard, the more she felt as though her chest was being crushed. She snapped out of her daze and scrunched her face in confusion. “But I thought Jerrold submitted his paper in less than ten minutes? Is he really that talented?"

Even if Jerrold was a genius, it was impossible to finish the exams so quickly, let alone have a high score!

The other parents thought about what Jenna had said and were also puzzled. The principal then stepped forward with a smile and explained, "Our test can detect a child's IQ, which stands for intelligence quotient. Jerrold's IQ is 195, which means he's a rare genius! So, Jerrold, I am personally welcoming you to Newington Elementary School!"

Jerrold humbly nodded to the principal.

195! Everyone found this number to be stunning.

With this, who else could question Jerrold's abilities?

Upon hearing this, Jenna hurriedly asked, “What about Vera?"

The principal shot her a confused look before staring at the ceiling for a second, as if trying to remember who Vera was. “Aside from Jerrold, everyone else, including the second and third places, fell within the normal range."

In other words, they were only ordinary people.

As the realization dawned on Jenna, her face turned pale. She could feel the weighted gaze of everyone around her, as though they were all laughing at her.

She had always thought that Vera was a genius. However, as it turned out, she was only an ordinary person.

Vera in particular was embarrassed by the revelation. It turned out that her cousin, whom she had always Looked down upon, was actually more talented than herself! Right now, she wished that the earth would open up and swallow her whole just so she could hide from everyone.

Realizing that his words might've been hurtful, the principal added, "Well, ordinary they may be, they still have a chance to turn things around. After all, these children are still very young. Just work hard, and anything is possible in the future!"
