When she noticed the scenery outside the window was unfamiliar, she asked, "Gerard, did you take the wrong road?"
"No," he answered casually.
"Where are we going, then?" Lilah turned to Gerard and saw a determined look steeled on his face.
He was holding the steering wheel with one hand with utmost confidence, making Lilah feel secure. He was wearing casual black clothes, which further elevated his mature charm. His thin Lips parted as he said, "I'm taking you somewhere."
Lilah squinted her eyes at him and tilted her head.
Before long, the car stopped in front of a store.
Although the exterior had a minimalist design, it had an air of luxury about it.
Inside, someone welcomed them to a room carrying different types of clothing, all of which were couples' outfits.
"Pick one," Gerard told her.
"This..."
Lilah wasn't a fool. She knew that these were matching outfits for couples.
It was only at this moment that she realized the date. It was Valentine's Day! Oh no!
Immediately, sweat started breaking out of her forehead.
She had been so busy taking care of Jerrold's study that she completely forgot about this. However, her boyfriend remembered and made the necessary preparations. She felt so embarrassed that she wanted to slap herself hard across the face!
“Honey, did you prepare all these?" she asked him.
"Yes. Pick an outfit." Gerard's long and slender fingers gently caressed her cheek. "Today, we're just an ordinary couple."
Lilah sank her head and covered her face with her hands. "This is so sweet."
Gerard chuckled as he let her pick the clothes freely.
However, when he saw the clothes that she had picked, he could no longer bring himself to laugh.
"I've seriously thought about it. With the way we look now, we'll definitely attract attention! Especially since I have just exposed my identity as A Fond Dream. So, to be an ordinary couple, we have to be low-key. We absolutely can't let others recognize us!" Lilah earnestly said.
Gerard's eyes narrowed as he suspiciously eyed the clothes Lilah was holding. “So you want me to wear women's clothing, while you wear men's clothing?"
Lilah nodded. "Yes, but don't worry. The style isn't feminine. It's not even a dress!" She knew that Gerard wouldn't accept overly feminine styles.
Meanwhile, the stylist behind her overheard their conversation and began to worry about her.
"Oh my God! Mr. Harris' girlfriend is so awesome! How can she be so brave to suggest this? This is the mighty Mr. Harris! How could he agree to this? Will Lilah be dumped today?" the stylist muttered to himself .
