But Gerard still didn't say anything in reply. Instead, giving her a cold glance, he pulled out his phone and allowed the elated Effie to scan his QR code. Immediately, the account appeared on her phone.

Seeing the name on the screen, Effie was taken aback and she quickly rubbed her eyes.

"I think there's a mistake somewhere. I'll scan it again," she said and then went ahead to scan the QR code again.

Lilah didn't dare to look at them. She kept her eyes down.

After Effie scanned it for the second time, Gerard's name appeared again. With a confused frown, she looked at her phone and then at the beautiful woman. At this point, the beautiful woman opened her mouth and said in a cold voice that was very familiar to Effie, “Have you seen enough yet?"

Immediately, Effie realized that the woman was her brother, Gerard!

She almost fell off her chair from shock. Getting up from her seat, she went to sit next to Walter and began to stare at Gerard. "Gerard, you... You have such a quirk?" she asked in a trembling voice.

She felt so sad. She thought she had encountered a stunning lady!

As for Walter, he had a complicated expression on his face.

At this point, Lilah quickly cut in, "We decided to come out on a date today. I was the one who came up with this idea, mostly because I didn't want us to be recognized."

"Well, that's a good idea," Effie nodded, even though she felt like crying.

Lilah didn't know what else to tell her, so she kept quiet.

Soon, the dishes were finally served. The atmosphere was very quiet.

Effie looked like someone that was heartbroken. Noticing this, Walter put some food on her plate and said jokingly, "Why are you still thinking about the beautiful woman when a handsome man like me is having dinner with you?"

"You don't understand. Beautiful women are soft and nice. How can a man compare with them?" Effie snorted.

Walter frowned worriedly. "Effie, do you like women?" he asked anxiously.

"No, it's not like that," Effie denied. "I just admire beautiful girls. Nothing more."

"Oh, okay," Walter nodded in relief and went back to eating. He had thought it was something else.

As they ate, Walter kept serving Effie more and more food, until it came to a point when she said, "I can't eat any more."

“Why? You've only eaten a little. Come on, eat a bit more," Walter urged her.

“I will get fat if I eat more," Effie said with a sigh as she eyed the delicious meal. Though she Liked to eat delicious meals, she had to stay in shape since she was a female entertainer.

“What's wrong with that?" Walter countered. "You are so thin right now. You will look more beautiful if you gain a little more weight."

"One always looks fatter on camera. If I get any fatter, I won't look good on camera anymore," Effie said.

“Then I'll get someone to write a script that says the heroine is a fat woman," Walter insisted.
