"Okay."

Seated between these two males, Lilah felt safer than she had ever felt before. No matter what happened, she knew that these two would do everything to protect her.

Was this what it meant to feel at home?

If so, then she liked the feeling very much.

The car passed by Phillips Mall on their way back.

In the past two days, it was almost deserted as many people refused to buy things here. Now, it was so full one could barely walk through.

Coincidentally, Lilah's phone pinged with a message from Emma just then.

"A majority of those who had requested refunds have pulled back their requests. However, we still have more than one million dollars to go."

The big question now was how they could earn more than one million in a day.

Emma was nervous, and it showed through her message.

Lilah, on the other hand, was strangely at ease. "I see."

Time went by really quickly after that.

The next morning, the board of directors convened as planned.

Clint had already inquired about the present revenue, and he learned that there was still tens of thousands left. Looking at Lilah, he smirked. “You lost!"

He was complacent and didn't bother hiding it.

He knew that Lilah would never defeat him.

“We had made that bet on 11:00 am back then. We still have 10 minutes to go," Lilah said without any pressure whatsoever.

Clint scoffed. "Do you really think you can earn tens of thousands of dollars in 10 minutes?"

"It's hard to say." Lilah shrugged, still very relaxed.

Her casual attitude grated on Clint's nerves. Through gritted teeth, he caved. "Fine! We'll give you ten minutes."

He couldn't wait for her to accept defeat at his hands.

For the next 10 minutes, everyone watched the changes in the revenue on the big screen.

The sales were growing at a rate of 1, 000 per minute.

One minute was left and 20, 000 dollars was still lacking to meet the target.
