Clint's lips curved upward in mockery. “Miss Phillips.”

His words hung in the air as the sales suddenly increased by one hundred thousand, going above the fifty million that was decided on.

Clint couldn't believe his eyes.

"This isn't right. Did you ask someone to help you?" Filled with rage, Clint stood up abruptly.

He refused to accept defeat so easily.

"Calm down, Clint. I'm not you. I'm not that insidious," Lilah stated.

"What do you mean by that?" he questioned angrily.

“Well, you had evidence that could help the company but you sat on it. It's obvious that you will put the entire company in crisis as long as it serves your interests," Lilah explained coldly.

“What the hell do you mean?"

“If I hadn't found Lance's email, I wouldn't have known you had that video!" Lilah snapped.

ALL eyes fell on Clint at this. If he had the video, why didn't he show it at the beginning?

Clint began feeling nervous, sweat pooling on his forehead very rapidly. "You're trying to frame me. You hacked my phone to get that video!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Clint snapped it shut as he realized what he had just said. It was too late to take it back.

Damn it! Lilah had set a trap for him, and he fell in without thinking.

Everyone's face darkened.

Lilah was right after all. Clint had the video from the beginning.

Lilah stared directly at him and said, "Clint, I took a look at surveillance footage. Only you and Howard went to the construction site that night. Can you explain why you were there at night?"

Sweat trickled down Clint's forehead in obvious guilt, but he still said stubbornly, "I just went to check how it was moving at the construction site."

"If so, why didn't you tell us that you saw strange people loitering around?" Lilah didn't spare him.

Still, he kept lying. “I was just testing your capabilities. After all, you are the CEO of the company.”

“Well, the company belongs to everyone. If the company had gone bankrupt because of this incident, I think it would have been right to say you are the main culprit, don't you think?" Lilah questioned.

The other directors looked at Clint with an unfriendly look.

"Clint, you went too far. We are supposed to be united when it comes to the company."

"Right. We don't care why you went to the construction site that night, but you had evidence that could help us and kept it to yourself. Do you know how scared I have been these days?"
