Lilah arrived at the agreed restaurant on time.

In contrast, Krista deliberately appeared ten minutes late just to get under her skin. However, walking through the doors, she found Lilah sipping coffee leisurely. Lilah exuded an air of nobility, a quality Krista aspired to, triggering a subtle pang of jealousy.

As she pondered the situation, a sense of resentment washed over her.

How was it that some individuals were blessed with abundance when they entered the world? While she must toil relentlessly and use all her means to barely get by?

It didn't seem fair!

With that attitude, she harbored no desire to see such individuals coast through life effortlessly.

As Krista approached the table and sat opposite Lilah, she anticipated Lilah would be eager to initiate a conversation.

However, to her surprise, Lilah remained composed and simply sipped her coffee without acknowledging her. After a while, Krista's patience wore thin, and she blurted out, “What did you want to do?"

“Didn't you invite me here?" Lilah queried, casually glancing up from her cup.

Confusion and anger swirled within Krista. Wasn't Lilah concerned about Botanic at all?

"I know the reason behind your message. It's about Botanic, isn't it?

I can help you, but you'll have to give me..." Krista raised one finger.

"One million?" Lilah asked.

"No." Krista shook her head.

"Ten million?" Lilah said casually.

Krista nodded in agreement, fixing Lilah with an expectant gaze.

Sipping her coffee, Lilah remarked, “You're quite ambitious, aren't you?"

“Ten million is a drop in the ocean for you."

“You're right. But ten million can help make your face look better,"

Lilah said, observing her coldly.

Krista scoffed. "So, do we have a deal or not?"

"What will I get out of it if I agree?" Lilah inquired unemotionally.

Krista exuded confidence as if she had something precious to offer.

"I'll proclaim to everyone that my skin issues aren't due to your products but my own reasons," declared Krista.
