"I'm sorry, sir, but this isn't my table..."
"Can't you switch? I'd like you to be the one serving us. Is that okay? Don't worry. I'm a VIP here." The man gazed at Laura and thought that this girl was indeed a perfect addition to the coffee shop. She was too pure and innocent that he itched to stain her sweet temperament even just a little.
He had already played with plenty of women, but he had never been with someone so maidenly.
Laura tried to get out of his grip, but the man was stronger than her. She was already feeling so annoyed, but the man was also getting impatient. “Enough. I've met a lot of women like you. You can pretend to be so innocent all you want, but you will scream loud in bed just like them."
Of course, Laura was taken aback. After all, she was actually so sheltered that such foul words were totally unknown to her. Because of this, she was unsure how to respond and react at first.
“Abhh!"
The next second, the man suddenly screamed.
Lilah appeared in front of Laura and grabbed the man's wrist, and then twisted it hard. Naturally, the man was in pain.
His companions at the table were stunned. They thought this woman was too violent.
"Who the hell are you? Let go of me!"
L -lah?" At that moment, someone recognized her.
Most people knew that Lilah was Gerard's girlfriend. These people came from wealthy families, but compared to the Harris family, they were all small fries.
Realizing they were in the presence of powerful people, the man's face instantly changed into a somewhat pitiful expression. Abashed, he lowered his voice. “Miss Phillips, do you know this woman?"
"She is just a waitress here. If you want a woman to play with, then you go to the club. If I see you in here again, I'll cut off your hand," Lilah told the young man calmly, her icy gaze freezing him to the spot.
The man swallowed thickly and broke into a cold sweat. “I-I will leave now."
The man nearly tripped in his haste to get out of the coffee shop, his friends not far behind him.
Laura looked at Lilah with admiration. She never knew a woman could be a knight in shining armor too.
She had seen Lilah fighting before and knew that she was a pro at it.
Laura envied women who could fight because she had been in poor health since childhood. Besides, her mother was of the opinion that a woman should not learn martial arts.
"Thank you, Lilah," Laura said warmly.
Lilah observed Laura and saw a girl who had shed all signs of her previous paranoia and madness. With a calm tone, Lilah inquired, “Why are you working here?"
"I've cut ties with my mother. Now I have to support myself. In fact, my father didn't want me to work, but he is under a lot of pressure.
I got bored sitting at home twiddling my thumbs, so I found a job."
"The next time you encounter someone like that man, just call the police."
