“Apparently, the ingredients they use are supposed to be good, but long-term use would result in a lot of questionable side effects. I stopped using their products now."
“I guess the products of White Dew are way better. At least, they don't lie to customers."
Hearing their discussion, Lilah frowned a bit.
She knew the ingredients of this skincare line best. If it were true, she would have been aware of it. Someone must be pulling the strings behind this accusation.
"Oh my gosh, Lilah... Who would even dare do that to Botanic?" Effie worriedly asked.
Effie's face turned red with anger.
After pondering for a bit, Lilah figured out who was spreading the gossip.
The only company that was on par with Botanic and could gain from tarnishing its image was White Dew.
“I got it. Let's focus on our dinner first," Lilah suggested.
“Who is it? So unethical," Effie scoffed.
“It's White Dew." Lilah dropped the company's name without mentioning Karol.
"It's Karol. She's such a nasty piece of work!" Effie revealed, knowing Karol headed White Dew.
"Lilah, I'll help you give her a taste of her own medicine. Seems like she can't go a day without causing trouble," Effie offered.
Lilah glanced at the peacefully sleeping child and calmly replied, "No, thanks. I can handle it. Effie, shush, someone's sleeping!"
“Huh?" Effie Looked around and noticed the adorable Jerrold sleeping soundly. She then whispered, "Lilah, I'm just furious."
“Lilah, do you need my help?" Gerard chimed in, his eyes showing affection.
"No, I'll let you know when I need help," Lilah responded with a smile.
Satisfied, Gerard nodded, saying, "Alright."
As they chatted, they noticed several customers entering and discussing skincare products.
A woman pulled out a small, elegant mirror, remarking, "I heard Botanic's products only provide temporary relief for skin issues.
They'll have major drawbacks later on."
Leaning on her hands, another lady chimed in, “I've noticed too.
Botanic's blowing up online. Almost gave it a shot, but thankfully, I never bought anything. Some ancient brands stick around for ages, proving their mettle. These new ones? Just pulling the wool over people's eyes!"
Effie couldn't take the criticism. Lilah stepped in, urging her not to stir up trouble.
