“How can I help you, Emma?" Lilah looked over.
Emma said with a grave tone, “The fund has gone down, Miss Phillips.”
“When did it start?" Lilah asked.
After some thought, Emma replied, "It began this morning. It's dropping more rapidly now. What's our plan, Miss Phillips?"
"Let's not panic. Funds go up and down; it's normal. Keep monitoring it and alert me if something seems off," Lilah instructed with composure.
Funds and stock prices naturally went up and down. Managing them was like handling products.
The sales of products could increase and decline.
Lilah had analyzed the trends and anticipated a drop in the fund, but she expected a recovery soon.
With that, she entrusted Emma with the task.
In the afternoon, Lilah finished her work on the contracts and the files from last week.
Out of the blue, her phone rang.
"Miss Phillips, there are visitors here to see you, claiming to be your relatives. They're waiting in the lobby," Emma informed her over the phone.
"My relatives?"
Lilah paused briefly, and then replied, "Please, have them come in."
“Sure thing, Miss Phillips," Emma responded.
Not long after, quick knocks were heard on the door.
Lilah looked up and invited, “Come in!"
Emma opened the door, stepping inside first, followed by a group of middle-aged individuals and two older family members.
Lilah recognized them instantly.
Emma bowed slightly and announced, "Your visitors, Miss Phillips.
I'll leave you now."
"Mhm."
With the door shut, Lilah glanced at the visitors and casually asked, “How can I help you?"
“Lilah Phillips, being a family leader is not easy. You can't just fool around. If you can't handle our family properly, you should step down," one of the middle-aged visitors criticized harshly.
