"Yeah, doubt she'll recover it," another agreed.
“Maybe she will," ventured a hopeful voice.
"Don't get your hopes up! A little rise doesn't mean much. High hopes, big letdowns," cautioned another.
“Well, if it drops again, the worst is that it hits rock bottom again, right?" someone reasoned.
“suit yourself. But hey, Onyx promised our stocks will soar tomorrow morning. Don't be shortsighted," another retorted.
Janis added, "“Lilah seems to have done her homework on her investments. Maybe she'll turn a profit next time."
“You're still dreaming. No way. A tiny bump and suddenly Lilah's a financial whiz. Give me a break!"
"Yeah? You were all about making bank with Onyx's tips. Now look at the stocks tanking. Don't go judging others based on your own failures. You'll regret it," Janis shot back.
“Hmph! You'll be eating your words soon," Keith retorted, his anger simmering.
Then, a voice message from Onyx interrupted the argument. “Aunt Janis, Uncle Keith, sure, Lilah's fund had a slight uptick but it's just a blip. She might know a thing or two, but I've done extensive research on my investments. Trust me, my fund's the way to go. No regrets."
"I believe in you," Keith affirmed.
But Janis wasn't convinced. "Onyx, there's always someone better out there. Stay humble."
An annoyed Onyx responded with another voice message, "Got it, Aunt Janis."
Truth be told, he was puzzled.
Lilah's fund had hit rock bottom, yet somehow it was climbing again, which didn't add up.
Onyx couldn't figure out why.
Seeing the disagreement, Lilah didn't want to let Janis down, knowing she had Janis's trust. "Grandaunt Janis, mark my words, my fund's going to skyrocket tomorrow."
Hearing this, Onyx sneered, sending another voice message. "Skyrocket?
Lilah, do you think I have no understanding of investing?"
"Uncle Onyx, do you really understand investments?" Lilah asked.
Onyx felt like he had been slapped in the face, finding the situation quite embarrassing. “I don't understand? I have years of experience in investments; how dare you question my expertise?"
Janis interjected, “Onyx, we're a family here, and Lilah is just a junior. Why are you raising your voice?"
Onyx restrained his anger and replied, "Aunt Janis, that girl claimed I lacked knowledge in investments."
"So what? Can't you exhibit some generosity?" Janis lectured.
