Seeing them tussling, Catherine rushed over to break it up. “Jerrold, knock it off."

“Catherine, back off," Jerrold said gently.

“Today, I'Ll- Ah!" The chubby boy was cut off with another punch.

The pain made him cry out once more.

Then, a woman's scream echoed from a distance.

She hurried over, wearing high heels, and shielded the chubby boy.

Seeing his swollen face and bleeding lip, she fretted.

She gently touched his face. "Baby, does it hurt?"

"Like crazy," the chubby boy muttered, eyeing Jerrold nervously.

The chubby boy couldn't fathom how this skinny little boy managed to best him in a scuffle.

The chubby boy's mother scolded, "You little troublemaker! How dare you lay a hand on my son? Who raised you? Tell me who your parents are. You've got no manners at all. Since your parents aren't around to discipline you, I'll take it upon myself to teach you a lesson."

As she spoke, the woman raised her hand, with a face full of malice, ready to strike Jerrold's face.

The chubby boy's eyes sparkled triumphantly as he flashed a small smile upon witnessing his mother gearing up to defend him.

When her hand descended to deliver a harsh slap to Jerrold's cheek, he swiftly sidestepped and dodged the impending blow.

Missing her target, the woman lurched forward in her high heels.

Struggling to maintain her balance, she tumbled to the ground.

“Ouch! You little...! I'll make you pay for that!" the woman cursed after landing heavily on her rear, expressing her hurt and frustration.

Grimacing in pain and seething with humiliation, she rose to her feet.

Surveying the scene with a steely glare, she thundered in fury, "Whose child is this? How did they raise you to be so uncivilized?

I bet your parents are just as bad."

"Don't say that about my parents!" Jerrold retorted. His irritation flared when the woman insulted them.

The woman's gaze narrowed at Jerrold as she cursed louder, “You worthless little brat! If your parents were any good, they wouldn't have spawned such a wild child like you! Mark my words. This is far from over."

Her raised voice caused a commotion, capturing the attention of bystanders who turned their heads toward the unfolding drama.

People began to gather around.
