Chapter 115
Robert turned his head to look at Aaron and continued calmly, "The truth is we're all here to make money. And I hope everyone can do so. But, Mr. Williams, why should I let someone who goes against me make money? Do you think you have nothing to fear just because those three shareholders have your back, and I have no way to deal with you?"
Aaron's hands trembled uncontrollably as fear overwhelmed him. "I was wrong, Mr. Zabinski. I know I was wrong!"
Robert took out his phone to check the time. He shook his head and said, "Let me see... The finance department probably hasn't prepared all the documents for your embezzlement yet."
Aaron was shocked upon hearing that. He could tell that Robert was willing to give him a chance!
Robert paused for two seconds and asked,"Mr. Williams, what kind of benefits did the Zabel Group offer you that is worth going against me like this?"
Aaron's face flushed with anxiety as he gestured frantically."Mr. Zabinski, I haven't had much contact with Kendrick. It was just a
dinner that Mr. Faber has invited us all to attend together."
Although Robert's expression remained calm, inside his heart, a raging storm was already brewing.
Robert was merely testing the waters with Aaron.
He never thought that Aaron would actually have connections with the Zabel Group. And to make matters worse, it was through a director that they had met. What's more—there were quite a few of them involved according to Aaron!
It seemed like the Zabel Group had already infiltrated into Zabinski Group!
The problem within Zabinski Group was no longer simply about senior management disobeying him.
If it were before, Robert might have been worried if a director of the company had ambiguous relationships with a rival company.
But right then, Robert didn't care at all!
With a working capital of 1.5 billion dollars, Robert was confident that he could completely destroy the Zabel Group.
That was including all the people who sided with the Zabel Group!
"If they want to side with the Zabel Group, then go ahead. I'll make sure that they will go down together with the Zabel Group," Robert thought to himself.
People always had to pay the price for their choices!
Robert's eyes flashed with a hint of ruthlessness.
Aaron trembled with fear beside Robert as the latter remained silent.
That was the first time he had encountered the young chairman who had just graduated from university. He couldn't understand why that chairman, who was only in his early twenties, could have such a powerful presence.
What Aaron didn't know was that Robert would think about how to improve himself every night.
It was not just his capabilities but also his commanding presence. He would practice his gaze in front of the mirror countless times to ensure that he never made any mistake in front of others—even in his bearing.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class drove into the
underground garage, its identity as the vehicle of the Zabinski Group's chairman unknown to anyone present.
Robert got out of the car without saying a word and walked into the elevator.
Aaron was following Robert with his head lowered.
As the elevator ascended to the eighth floor, Robert turned his back to Aaron and said, "Your daughter is studying abroad and needs alot of money. Just concentrate on your work."
As soon as Robert finished speaking, the elevator doors opened, and he went straight out.
After hearing that, Aaron felt a wave of relief wash over him. However, he was aware of the actions he needed to take next.
He would be completely tied with the Zabinski Group and would have no other choice.
As Robert entered the office with Sophia following closely behind, a figure suddenly stopped the latter.
"Ms. Ryder." Patrick, the HR department headapproached Sophia with enthusiasm. "Everything has been taken care of. Don'tworry."
"Taken care of?" Sophia couldn't help butwonder, but her doubts quickly disappeared. She assumed that it was something that Robert had previously instructed the HR department to do. She nodded at Patrick and thanked him.
