Chapter 145
Marilyn, who was standing behind Robert, instinctively screamed and hugged Robert's waist tightly.
Felix was kicked and pulled to the side by a muscly man dressed in a suit before he even got close to Robert.
Soon, the sound of Felix screaming for help could be heard.
The security captain of the bar was also being beaten up by another man dressed in a suit. His knees went weak, and he collapsed to the ground begging for mercy.
Silas's face turned pale when he witnessed what was happening.
Silas knew Felix was a bully through and through but decided to let him be since he was his only son.
It never crossed Silas's mind that Felix's bullying ways would get them in trouble with the Zabinski Group.
Yes, that Zabinski Group!
Silas knew very well that Zabinski Group could easily crush him with their financial resources.
Of course, there was more than money to a corporation as big as Zabinski Group.
What was happening in the bar was the perfect example. Silas and Felix could never win against the powerful Zabinski Group.
The luxurious bar was smashed into pieces in a blink of an eye.
Silas collapsed to the ground like a deflated balloon.
He knew very well that Elephant Bar was doomed.
From the beginning to the end, Robert didn't join in the fight.
Although Robert wanted to teach Felix a lesson, he knew the consequences of being impulsive wouldn't be worth it.
It was like that time when he smashed everything on top of the table in Grand Triumphant Hotel. Yes, he felt good while doing it, but what if Grand Triumphant Hotel didn't belong to him? Or what if his parents were just ordinary folks? What would become of him then?
Robert, as the heir of the Zabinski Group, understood this more clearly now.
Felix and the security captain were beaten into a pulp, and Felix's friends were none the better.
"Let's go." Robert looked at Silas without ashred of sympathy in his eyes.
It was Silas's fault for not bringing up his son well.
The tension was so thick that Marilyn grabbed Robert's hand tightly. He, too, subconsciously held tightly onto her fragile and bony hands. It wasn't until he walked out of the bar did he realize what he was doing.
Robert let go of Marilyn's hand. He looked at her beautiful face stained with tears and scolded, "The two of you shouldn't go to the bar in the middle of the night anymore!"
"Okay." Marilyn lowered her head like a childwho was caught doing something wrong, standing before Robert.
Linda pulled Samuel and Jeremy aside when she realized what was happening.
Robert looked at Marilyn's teary eyes and realized she was a little different than the Marilyn he used to know.
Robert had known Marilyn to be arrogant and confident. So he couldn't help but wonder when she became a submissive woman.
Robert opened his mouth but didn't say anything in the end. He simply shook his head and turned around to leave.
"Don't go."
Robert suddenly felt Marilyn's soft little hand around his wrist.
Robert turned around and came face-to-face with Marilyn's pleading eyes.
Robert had never seen Marilyn acting like that.
"Don't go, Robert." Marilyn grabbed Robert'swrist with her other hand.
"You're gonna be okay." Robert shook hishead."Those people from the bar won't bother you anymore. Go home now."
"I want to stay with you." Marilyn steppedforward and opened her arms in a bid to hug Robert.
Robert stepped back and took a deep breath. "Marilyn, you're getting engaged soon. Pleasebehave yourself."
