Chapter 167
"Let's go!" Thomas turned around and strodeaway.
He could foresee how the news would be reported after that since the reporters had already photographed the scene when the police took Matthew and the others away.
"Thank you, Mr. Wallis." Robert reached outtoward Victor.
Victor shook Robert's hand."It's our duty, Mr. Zabinski. And it's all thanks to your good evidence that we can have progress in the case."
Robert noticed that Victor's eyes were red. Apparently, Victor had been working hard in the past few days to find out the truth.
Robert couldn't help but respect the police officer before him.
"Mr. Zabinski,I still have a lot of things to do inthe bureau and I shall take my leave now. If there is anything we need your help in the case later, I hope you can cooperate with us," said Victor.
"Sure." Robert nodded and watched Victorleave.
The media reporters also dispersed and rushed back to write first-hand news.
The entrepreneurs present in the hall also left with the reporters.
Everyone already knew what would happen before attending the press conference held by Zabinski Group that day, and those who attended were all sided with Zabel Group. Now that Zabinski Group did not fall, no one dared to stay in the hall anymore.
The spacious conference hall was vacated in an instant.
Robert glanced at the watch on his wrist and strode out of the conference hall."Please notify all the senior management personnel to be present in the conference room at 2 p. m. for a meeting. Whoever comes late shall resign themselves."
Robert's face was cold. Although he was at the age of twenty-three, he exuded an imposing aura.
Meanwhile, Kendrick, Matthew, and Diana were interrogated separately in Yrinas Police Department.
Diana and others looked flustered.
"Sir, we did buy this medicine in Fortuna Hall,
but there was no invoice given, and Fortuna Hall didn't admit it. We are only ordinary families. When something happens to our family members, it costs us money to have a consultation, and we just don't have the money. Besides, if something goes wrong after the patient consumes the medicines, aren't those operating a medical center should be held responsible for it despite whose falsified medicines it is? They are from the same field, after all."
"Nonsense!" The interrogating police officerslapped the table."What you have done has constituted slander!"
Matthew sat in the interrogation room quietly.
He was scared out of his wits, knowing his life would be ruined if he was charged with selling falsified medicines and assault.
Having a superior family background, Matthew knew he still had much time to enjoy his life and did not want it to end that way.
An hour after Matthew was arrested, Lawrence rushed to Yrinas Police Department with a lawyer, and the lawyer requested to meet Matthew alone.
"Mr. Quesnell, let me introduce myself. I'mLeon. I'm your lawyer." The person who spoke
was a balding middle-aged man with glasses and a briefcase.
"What should I do? What will happen next? WillI be alright? Where are my parents? Are they here?" Matthew seemed to have seen a glimpse of hope when he saw the lawyer.
Leon Herman comforted Matthew,"There's no direct evidence in the case now, so no judgment can be made. Mr. Quesnell, please answer my next few questions truthfully. Do you hear me?"
Matthew nodded.
"Have you ever touched those falsifiedmedicines in the Mercedes-Benz?"
"No." Matthew shook his head.
"That's good. There are no fingerprints." Leonbreathed a sigh of relief. "There was no surveillance camera at the location of the car accident. Do you have any other witnesses?"
