Matthew nodded and said,"I'm Aaron. He's my man. He sides with me and won't betray me."

Leon nodded upon hearing that. "That's good, then. Even if he becomes the prosecution witness, he won't be able to affect anything. Mr. Quesnell, please keep your mouth shut here. They don't have absolute evidence and will release you in 48 hours. Do you have anything to tell me?"

Matthew hurriedly said, "The falsified medicines are in the secret room under Fortuna Hall. We have to destroy them as soon as possible."

"Sure." With that, Leon stood up withoutfurther delay.

When Leon left, Matthew looked at the surrounding walls. As he felt the space around him, he couldn't help but burst into tears.

On the other hand, Kendrick answered the police officer's interrogation with ease. "Sir, although I invested in Fortuna Hall, I'm merely an investor. How Fortuna Hall operates has nothing to do with me. Matthew is the legal representative of Fortuna Hall. You should ask him about the falsified medicines, not me."

Kendrick had foreseen the falsified medicines trade would be exposed sooner or later and had already transferred the ownership of Fortuna Hall to Matthew.

From the legal perspective, Kendrick would not be held accountable for Fortuna Hall's mistakes.

No matter what the police officer asked, Kendrick replied the same thing.

When Kendrick walked out of the police station lobby, Marilyn and Lawrence, who were waiting there worriedly, hurriedly trotted over once they saw him.

"Kendrick, is it true that there's somethingwrong with Fortuna Hall? Will Matthew be all right?" Lawrence asked anxiously.

Kendrick shook his head."I don't know either. Maybe we can ask the lawyer later."

Marilyn, Lawrence, Kendrick, and Leon were waiting for someone at the arrival hall of Yrinas Airport.

Not long after a plane took off from Acocester landed, a middle-aged couple appeared at the arrival hall. It was Marilyn's parents, Spencer Quesnell and his wife, Lena Quesnell.

Both of their faces were grim.

Seeing her parents come out, Marilyn greeted them,"Dad, Mom-"

"You bastard!" Lena slapped Marilyn in the faceand scolded, "How useless you are! I asked Matthew to look for you and ask you to take care of him. Is this how you take care of him? How could something so big happen?"

Spencer's family had always prioritized males over females. Although Marilyn was the eldest daughter in the family, she was more like a commodity that could be used for trading.

"Spencer, Lena, calm down." Lawrencehurriedly advised.

"How can we calm down? I have only one son!What should I do if something happens to him?" Spence r shouted with no regard that they were at the airport.

"Mr. and Mrs. Quesnell, this matter can stilltake a turn. Let's think of a way first." Kendrick also spoke.

Kendrick's words made Spencer and Lena calm down a lot.

"Kendrick, Matthew is troubling you again."Lena sighed and didn't mean to blame Kendrick at all.

"What are you talking about, Mrs. Quesnell?Matthew is just like my brother. I can't just sit back and do nothing. Let's go. There are too many people here. We'll talk more about it on the way." Kendrick gestured and took the lead in heading to the underground parking lot.

"Thank you, Kendrick." Lena's anger almostdisappeared when she saw Kendrick.
