Marilyn clenched her fists tightly."Can't you just revolt?"

"Revolt? How could I?" Lawrence repliedhelplessly. "Zabel Group is a giant. Compared to them, we're nothing. Marilyn looked at the closed door in front of her and felt confused.

Marilyn finally turned to leave after standing at the doorway for a long time.

She went to a beauty salon to get a facial, did her hair, and returned to the house Linda rented to change her clothes before making her way to Zabinski Group.

Marilyn waited quietly outside the office building and smiled when a familiar face showed up at 5 p. m.

Robert was stunned to see Marilyn when he exited the building. He paused briefly in surprise before striding forward.

Marilyn didn't look haggardly like before. Her face was glowing, and she wore a long black skirt that enhanced her delicate features and added to her aura. Her long smooth hair was left untied, emitting a faint fragrance.

Robert stopped in front of Marilyn and smiled, "Were you waiting for me?"

"I really want to chat with you today. Let's gofor a drink." Marilyn said, tilting her head slightly. She opened the door to the car behind her and got into the passenger seat.

Robert didn't stand on ceremony and entered

the car as well. They headed straight to Fairsaint Restaurant, where the environment was elegant and quiet.

Robert looked at the woman sitting across him, admiring her flawless delicate features and fair, soft skin. It was as if she came straight out of a painting.

Robert poured Marilyn a glass of wine, raised his glass, and asked, "Do you hate me?"

Marilyn shook her head and said, "I don't know. You sent Matthew to jail. I'd be lying if I said I didn't hate you, but he did commit a crime. Besides, even if you hadn't done it, someone else would have sent him to jail sooner or later due to his character, and that would've been crueler. It's better for him to be there now than later. He'll only be 30 years old in ten years, which is still young."

Marilyn tilted her head back and drank from her glass. A drop of wine flowed from her lips, slipping down her pale ne ck and disappearing beneath her collar.

Robert and Marilyn sat together, drinking glass after glass of wine. They didn't bring up the issue with Matthew anymore and instead chatted about the interesting things that happened when they were in school.

"Your change surprised me," Marilyn said,alittle drunk. The flush on her pretty face added to her charm."You used to be very introverted, but you're quite eloquent now."

"That's all an act." Robert shook his head anddrank another glass."I suddenly became the heir of Zabinski Group. I can't embarrass my family. I've always thought that we were just a normal family since my parents have never told me about this. Although if they did,I think I'd be a disgrace to Yrinas now."
