Victor raised a brow. "As long as you're found to have committed a crime in Clusians, we are well within our jurisdiction to arrest you. Take him away, boys!"

At Victor's orders, two police officers stepped forward and put Winston in handcuffs.

This concluded that the business deal was nothing more than a scam!

Timmy felt disappointment well up in him. The fact that he had been so gullible as to transfer 3 million dollars to Winston seemed like a cruel joke now that all was said and done. He glanced at Robert, only to grow angry when he saw the man eating his steak calmly.

"You knew they were liars and deliberatelywaited for us to make fools of ourselves, didn't you? Fine! I'll admit that I was an idiot, but did you have to resort to such underhanded ways to achieve your goals just to paint yourself in a superior light? You could have told Naomi in advance that this was all a sham, and you didn't have to put Suzy through the heartache, either! You think you're so awesome, but you're just a sick bastard!"

At this point, Timmy was taking his frustration

and anger out on Robert.

"I'm sorry." Robert picked up the napkin andwiped the corners of his mouth."For the record, I didn't know this was a scam until l heard your conversation."

Timmy was skeptical and demanded in a raised voice, "You didn't know? Then how'd you figure it out in the end, huh? How could you possibly have uncovered the truth about that mine? How did you determine that they rented that car from that particular car rental company? You're rich enough to buy this restaurant, I'll give you that, but what else can you do beyond that?"

Timmy was speaking loudly to conceal his own panic. He was outraged, and he wanted to throw a fit to distract everyone from his humiliation.

Robert was unbothered as he stood up and cleaned his hands with a hot towel. Then, he gave Timmy an even look as he smiled and said,"My answer to your question might make you uncomfortable, but know that it's not my intention to offend you in any way. First of all, the car bear ing the license plate number Yrinas A99999 belongs to me. To be precise, any cars bear ing the license plate numbers from Yrinas A00000 to Yrinas A99999 are all mine. I

consigned the cars for rent to Draconia Car Rental, which also happens to be my own enterprise."

Having said this, Robert set the used hot towel down on the table and straightened his shirt collar, then added,"Secondly, I would be lying if I said I didn't have to pull some strings to get all that information about the mine so quickly. Ten years ago, Yrinas was a main player in the oil and gas industry. I happen to have a large number of employees in my company who are veterans in mining and energy development fields, so it really wasn't that hard for me to look into the truth of that mine Winston was talking about. Robert took out a business card from his jacket and slid it across the table to Timmy.

There were only a few words on the business card, but those were enough to send a chill down Timmy's spine.

As the words leaped out at Timmy, he thought in awe, "The Zabinski family is the richest family in Yrinas! I'm speaking to the richest man in Yrinas!"

Timmy felt lightheaded all of a sudden. He wanted to kick himself for behaving so arrogantly in front of the richest man in Yrinas earlier. After all, Robert was a figure of such importance that even Timmy's father would show him the utmost respect!

By the time Timmy came back to his senses and looked up, Robert had already left the room.

Outside the restaurant, Naomi was clutching Robert's arm tightly. She was practically molding herself into him at this point.

"Uh, there's no one tailing us, so we can dropthe act, right?" Robert could acutely feel her soft curves pressing up against him. He subtly pried Naomi off him, afraid that his body might betray him by reacting to her physical touch.
