Chapter 199
"I refuse to accept this outcome! Someone'sclearly manipulating the results! How can Mike be the top sales achiever?" Janice roared after slapping her hand on the table and standing up angrily.
After all, Janice did work at Zurbia Gold &Jewelry for almost two years. Most of the people would greet her respectfully whenever they saw her.
Not only was she an experienced employee, but Janice was also a kind-hearted and helpful woman who helped everyone out most of the time. Hence, everyone loved her.
Janice was approaching her 40s soon, so she wasn't as hot-tempered as the younger people. She was very hardworking and passionate when it came to her job, not to mention she was very respectful toward her superiors as well.
That was why no one would ever expect Janice to suddenly erupt during the competition and claim that someone was manipulating the results so that they could nominate their own top sales achiever.
Yoel's expression darkened immediately.
He did receive the news that the top dog of the company would be attending the banquet.
Although that prestigious person had yet to show up, that meant he could appear at any given moment. If he were to witness any unpleasantries that were to break out at this time, Yoel would be forced to take responsibility for them.
Hence, Yoel shot a look in Janice's direction before he started to berate her. "That's enough, Janice. Now is not the time for you to throw a temp er tantrum. If you have any complaints, feel free to seek me out privately. Either that or you can discuss it with me in my office tomorrow."
"As I said, something fishy must be going on!"Janice continued to screech."I have more than 150 thousand dollars worth of sales throughout the first half of the year! How much did Mike earn in return, huh? Why is he the top sales achiever, then? I refuse to accept this!"
"That's enough, Janice!" Mike scolded inreturn."Didn't I explain to you where my sales and my clients came from? My friends were the ones that came over to buy gold from us, and you bagged the sales after that. I gave you your share, didn't I? Why are you still complaining
about this? If you don't want to stay here anymore, be my guest! Get the hell out of here!"
"Get out? Mike, how shameless are you? Ifthose clients really are your friends, you would've served them from the start! Why did you only come out whenever I was done serving them? You claim that they are your friends, so where's the proof?" Janice questioned loudly.
"Janice Zinker!" Yoel shouted Janice's fullname at that moment.
Yoel looked domineering, seeing as he had been in an authoritative position for many years. When he finally directed his anger at Janice, the latter couldn't help but flinch in fear.
Upon noticing the situation, Robert stood up and started speaking."Hi, Mr. Heywood. I'm one of the newbies who just joined Zurbia Gold & Jewelry. I also think it's necessary toinvestigate the authenticity of the top sales achiever. Today, I served an important client and ended up making a total of 19,500 dollars."
The moment everyone heard Robert's words, they started cheering for him. Many people turned their envious gazes to him as well.
"Wow, that's 19,500 dollars!"
"To think that he sold 19,500 dollars' worth ofproducts on his first day! What a lucky guy!"
However, Yoel just snorted coldly. "It's only your first day here, yet you think you have the right to lecture us the moment you got some sales?"
"Nope." Robert shook his head."What I'mtrying to say is, the moment I sold the products, Mr. Surrence came to me and told me that the client was a friend of his, so he wanted to take the credit for the 19,500-dollar sale that I made. I hope that you can give me an explanation for this."
As soon as Robert finished speaking, everyone was in an uproar.
The newbie was the one who sold 19,500 dollars worth of products, yet Mike claimed the sale as his own.
Everyone happened to be employees from Zurbia Gold & Jewelry, not to mention most of them were salespeople. They knew very well that clients who could afford to buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of gold products were no ordinary people. Even if they happened to be Mike's friends, he would personally serve them.
Why would Mike claim those clients to be his friends the moment other salespeople were done with the sales?
Yoel glared at Robert in dissatisfaction. Then, he turned to look at Mike."Mr. Surrence, did the friend I introduce to you last time come over to buy things just now?"
