Mike's meaning was rather obvious, but Naomi acted like she didn't pick it up at all.

"Mr. Surrence, what do you mean by that?"Naomi was clearly dissatisfied with the answer. "There's no such thing as you borrowing 300dollars for me. Weren't you the one who called me this afternoon and told me about the promotional event you have going on at your store? As long as I admit I'm your friend, you'll give me 300 dollars, right?"

Mike's phone was placed next to the microphone the whole time.

When Naomi's voice fell, her words reverberated throughout the banquet hall as well.

It turned out that Mike k ept calling various clients and promising them 300 dollars as long as they claimed that they were his friends.

Everyone belonged to the sales department. Of course, they knew what this meant.

What Mike did was forcibly snatch other people's clients from them and claim their sales as his own.

Mike's behavior couldn't be described as

"wicked". In the sales industry, it was called"disgusting".

Mike's mind went blank at that moment.

He always thought that people who could afford tens of thousands of dollars worth of gold products were all rich people. There were most certainly no idiots among the rich and the elite.

He had already made himself clear, but Naomi could never understand what he was trying to say. Instead, she jeopardized him by spilling so much unwanted information.

In this scenario, Mike had already lost the ability to think. He could feel cold sweat staining his back.

In the banquet hall, everyone kept talking among themselves, mostly about Mike's incident.

Robert just smiled and watched the scene.

Yoel, who was standing on the stage as well, noticed how quickly things were souring, so he glared at Robert angrily before roaring, "Silence!"

With that roar, the noisy banquet hall immediately quietened down. Clearly, Yoel was a pretty authoritative person.

Even though everyone had quietened down, they still watched the drama eagerly. All of them wanted to know how Yoel would deal with Mike after such an incident happened.

Earlier, Yoel did mention that manipulative and evil people weren't allowed to stay in the company. As the department head, Mike used his authority to snatch clients from his subordinates. His behavior wasn't just manipulative and wicked at this point.

"Mr. Heywood, don't you think people like Mr.Surrence should be punished severely?"Robert asked.

The banquet hall was extremely quiet, so Robert's voice was able to echo clearly.

"Shut up!" Yoel yelled at Robert. "Who the helldo you think you are? You have no right to speak here!”

Since Mike had yet to hang up on Naomi, Yoel turned to speak to her right after scolding Robert."Hey, Naomi. This is Yoel. I know you and Robert are currently fighting with each other, but this is a serious work matter that requires the company to investigate properly. Can you two settle your differences privately?I know Mike is the one at fault, but you two have been together for so many years, so you should know very well that now is not the time

to bring up certain things. Come on, please spare my pride and stop arguing about this. I'll have Mike apologize to you later on. Okay, I'm going to han g up now."

Once he was done speaking, Yoel ended the call to Mike's phone immediately. Loud beeps echoed throughout the banquet hall thanks to the microphone.

Once he was done, Yoel started speaking to the people in the banquet hall."This matter concerns some private issues, so I can't let you in on the details. However, everyone here must understand that this client is indeed Mike's friend. I hope some of you with ulterior motives won't make a big deal out of this. Also, I've noticed a serious issue that's been plaguing this company during this banquet. Apparently, we've been hiring all sorts of people, including unsavory characters. HR,I want you to test all the employees based on their moral values and integrity starting from tomorrow onward. Do you understand?"

The head of the HR department could only nod, not daring to say a word.

"All right. This incident is now over. Everyone,you may resume enjoying the banquet."Yoel waved his hand dismissively, not wanting to continue talking about the incident. If the big

boss were to appear later on, he would be in big trouble.
