"Okay, let's go." Robert said to Naomi and theothers, "Let's have a midnight snack."
"I said." Naomi leaned close to Robert andwhispered, "Do you have some unfriendly attributes? You are like this. Your assistant is also like this. I'm a little afraid of falling in love."
Robert rolled his eyes at Naomi. "Get out!"
At the gate of the Elephant Bar, after Robert and his men left, the onlookers gathered around Joseph and kept reviling him, who was still kneeling on the ground.
"Scumbag!"
"Piece of shit!"
Hearing these insulting words, Joseph felt humiliated and clenched his fists tightly.
Daniel, who was lying on the ground, struggled to stand up and then walked to Joseph.
Daniel gritted his teeth and called, "Joseph!"
"Daniel!" Joseph hurriedly stood up andlooked at Daniel with concern."Are you okay? Do you need me to send you to the hospital?"
Joseph didn't dare to offend Daniel. After all, it was Daniel who paid him.
"Go away." Daniel pushed Joseph away. "Tellme the truth. Did you know the relationship between that woman and the president of the Zabinski Group?"
Joseph hurriedly said, "Daniel, listen to me."
Daniel shouted, "I'm asking you did you know that or not? Answer the question."
Joseph nodded and stammered. "Yes."
Daniel kicked Joseph in the stomach. "So, are you saying that you introduced that woman to me when you knew who she was? You set me up! Listen, we're not done with this!"
After Daniel finished his words, he opened the door of the taxi beside him and left.
Joseph was kicked to the ground by Daniel. He felt a sharp pain in his stomach.
Joseph covered his stomach and stood up. Looking at the onlookers who were smiling ironically at him, Joseph felt embarrassed. He hunched down a bit and ran away.
For some people, this night was a terrible torment.
For Robert, it was just an ordinary night. He returned home and got busy with his work.
At seven o'clock the next morning, a piercing ringtone woke Robert up. He found his phone and looked at the number with sleepy eyes. Then he immediately sobered up."Morning, Dad!"
Zachary's voice came from the phone."Get up. I need you to do something for me today. Two of my old army comrades will arrive at Yrinas's airport at 9:00 a. m. Pick them up and take care of them. They just retired from the peacekeeping forces. Find a job for each of them in the company. This is serious, okay?"
Hearing the word peacekeeping, Robert stood up immediately and said respectfully, "Don't worry. I will see to it."
Then Robert hung up the call and began to change his clothes.
Although it was already summer, Robert chose to put on formal clothes: a pair of trousers and a short-sleeved shirt.
Although he was living in a world of peace and prosperity, there were many people fighting ferociously at the forefront of peacekeeping.
Those people were heroes.
They were living in danger every day, which ordinary people couldn't imagine.
They were peacekeepers.
Zachary was in his fifties. His two old army comrades were about the same age as him. But they only just retired recently. It meant that they had been fighting for half of their life on the front line of peacekeeping!
