Lionel stood a short distance away, witnessing the scene from beginning to end.
It wasn't until Robert and Malcolm disappeared from the hotel entrance that Lionel swallowed hard and walked out of the hotel with heavy steps.
Once outside, Robert bid farewell to Malcolm and headed straight to the company.
Despite not receiving any good news from Lionel, Robert would never let go of any opportunities in pursuit of what he desired.
Robert spent the entire afternoon preparing the project proposal for Bay City and hurriedly left at 4 p. m. to deliver it.
With the commencement of the Bay City Mall project drawing near, the competition extended beyond just a few powerful corporations. Even smaller companies wanted to seek a slice of the pie.
After all, there was so much involved in such a large project. For those small companies, earning around 400 thousand dollars through participation in the project would be considered
a significant success.
Sitting inside his Rolls-Royce, Robert continued to refine the project proposal.
Suddenly, a Maybach with an Acocester license plate drove alongside the Rolls-Royce. Robert subconsciously glanced at the other vehicle and happened to catch a glimpse of Yahaira provocatively staring back at him from inside the Maybach.
Robert smiled faintly and rolled up the privacy glass, rendering the darkened window of the Rolls-Royce impenetrable. This action infuriated Yahaira further.
Every time it was Robert who took the initiative, leaving Yahaira with no choice but to respond passively. This feeling made her feel particularly uncomfortable.
The two cars arrived almost simultaneously at the Bay City project site. As the car doors opened and their eyes met, Yahaira already sensed a victory.
Not for any particular reason, but Lionel's earlier attitude had already proven that Zabinski Group had no chance in this matter.
Throughout the ride, anger had been building
up inside Yahaira. Now, upon seeing Robert, she couldn't resist taking the lead and confronting him."Mr. Zabinski, you have nothing better to do than to intrude on our Zabel Group's project. What do you want?"
"Zabel Group's project?" Robert feigned a lookof surprise, scanning his surroundings before responding, "Ms. Zabel, the mall hasn't even been constructed, and you're already claiming ownership of the restroom project? That's quite a clever move."
Yahaira glared at Robert in disgust."Robert, don't be so sharp-tongued. Do you understand?"
"Ms. Zabel, has anyone ever told you thatwomen who behave this way can be very annoying?" Robert smiled and continued, "Women who act cute are usually rewarded withcandy treats. How about you try acting cute for me? Maybe I'll converse with you in another way."
"Disgusting." Yahaira retorted, turned around, and walked away without giving Robert a second glance.
The development here was already a done deal, and the bidding would take place three days later, on September 30th.
As soon as Yahaira appeared, a crowd of people gathered around her.
The news that Yahaira had lunch with Lionel this noon had already spread. Immediately after the lunch meeting with Mr. Sanders, she arrived at the project site in the afternoon. There were too many implications behind this.
A contractor boldly introduced himself to Yahaira, "Ms. Zabel, I've been in this industry for over 20 years. I have a solid track record, and my workers possess exceptional craftsmanship. I would be honored to work under your leadership, Ms. Zabel."
Yahaira waved her hand and replied, "Alright, leave your business card. We do require some manpower for the parking garage of the shopping mall!"
The contractor's face lit up with joy and hurriedly handed over his business card tactfully to her driver rather than directly to Yahaira.
This seemingly simple act instally ignited the atmosphere on the site.
It wasn't about the contractor expressing his interest in the project, but Yahaira's words implying that Zabel Group had indeed secured
the contract for the shopping mall!
In no time, Yahaira found herself surrounded by a swarm of people, while Robert's side appeared relatively deserted.
