Calvin was about to pick up the car at the lobby of Malcolm's hotel at 9:00 p. m. when he ran into Lionel.

"Mr. Sanders." Calvin greeted him.

"Mr. Zales!" Lionel walked over quickly. Eventhough Calvin was just a driver for Malcolm, Lionel didn't dare to disrespect him, for the latter had worked closely with Malcolm for many years.

"Good morning, Mr. Sanders." Calvin gaveLionel a once-over."Mr. Sanders, are you looking for Mr. Martinez? He will be coming down shortly."

"Nope." Lionel waved his hands."Mr. Zales, can Ihave a word with you?"

Calvin glanced at Lionel in confusion before he pointed forward."Do you mind walking with me to get the car?"

"Sure. We are headed toward the same place."Lionel gestured with his hand, allowing Calvin to lead the way. Then, they walked out of the hotel together.

Lionel stepped forward rapidly to open the door when they were about to leave the entrance. At the same time, he said, "Mr. Zales, I noticed that Mr. Martinez is friends with the man from Zabinski Group from the event at Majestic Hotel yesterday?"

Lionel didn't mention Robert's name right away because of Malcolm.

"Oh, you mean Rob." Calvin smiled. "Yes. Morethan that, Rob even stayed at Mr. Martinez's house for a few months as a child. Why did you think of asking this, Mr. Sanders?"

Lionel's heart dropped when he heard Calvin's remark."Oh, it's not a big deal. It's just a random question. Mr. Zabinski seems like a nice man. The internet reacted well when Mr. Sullivan came to Xandenia personally to deliver Mr. Zabinski the pennant."

"Yes." Calvin nodded."Rob is a fine man. Mr.Martinez watched him grow up, and Rob turned out great. Mr. Martinez adores him a lot!"

At this point, Calvin had already arrived beside the car and unlocked the door.

Lionel got Calvin's hint, and replied, "Thank you so much, Mr. Zales. Let's go for a drink next time if you are here for leisure purposes."

"Sure. I'll hold you to your words. Mr. Martinezis in a hurry, so I have to leave now." Calvin got into his car.

"Goodbye, Mr. Zales." Lionel helped Calvin closethe door.

Lionel wiped the sweat off his forehead after the car drove away. He was glad he showed up at the hotel today, for his career would be over if he hadn't.

He mused "Judging from Mr. Zales'words, Robert is likely to bear a close relationship with

Mr. Martinez. That means I will be in trouble if I stand by Zabel Group this time!"

Lionel knew it would be inappropriate to immediately communicate with Robert after how he treated the latter yesterday. On the other hand, Lionel clearly knew what to do on the bidding day after many years in his position to ensure he offended no one.
