Marilyn's eyes fell on Robert as soon as he appeared.
However, Marilyn realized that Robert didn't even bother to lookat her at all, so she looked away.
She didn't hold out hope that Robert would forgive her after whathappened last night. After all, she would have been heartbroken if the same thing had happened to her.
"Haha,"Kendrick sneered."I hope you're not just bluffing. I'mtelling you that land will be mine no matter what!”
"I seem to remember you saying a similar thing when you werebidding for the postage stamp the other day. How did that end for you?"said Robert with a shrug.
"So it was you!" Kendrick's eyes suddenly became vicious. Hethought it was the old man from the Zabinski Group.
Robert ignored Kendrick and crossed his legs indifferently.
"We're talking about 33 acres of land. Do you even have thatmuch money, Robert?" Matthew sneered.
Matthew was confident that Zabel Group had given Kendrick thegreen light to put in a bid of 30% above the market price which came to an amount of 78 million dollars. There was no way Zabinski Group could outbid that amount.
In fact, Matthew was sure that the real controller of ZabinskiGroup would not be happy if he found out Robert would throw that much money on a piece of land. Not to mention, the shareholders would feel the same way.

Besides, it would take some time for the land to bring in some return after buying it. With Zabinski Group's cash flow in trouble, Zabel Group would only need to sit back and watch as Zabinski Group slowly fell into ruins.

Kendrick raised his hand and was about to bid, but before he could call out his price, Robert already beat him to it.
"75 million dollars," called out Robert, the first to bid.
The price sent everyone into an uproar.
The market valuation of the land was only 60 million dollars, and yet Robert bid 75 million dollars. What was more, Robert didn't seem fazed at all!
Kendrick, who was going to bid, was momentarily stunned by the price, and everyone there noticed his expression.
"75 million dollars? Robert, are you crazy?" Matthew couldn't helpbut reprimand Robert. He had thought that Zabel Group would definitely win the bid and that the highest Zabinski Group could go would be 67.5 million dollars. It never crossed his mind that Robert would start his bid at 75 million dollars.

Robert added another 3 million dollars before the Zabel Group put in its bid!

Matthew was extremely annoyed at Robert for adding another3 million dollars to his bid since 78 million dollars was the highest Zabel Group could go. There was no way Zabel Group could win this auction now.
"It'll be humiliating if I only add another 300 thousand dollars tothe price, especially when Robert added another 3 million dollars.
