Matthew decided to call out Robert on his smoking since he knewhe couldn't win against Robert's money.

"I said you're really as stupid as I think you are. Don't you knowthat Zabinski Group owns this auction site? It's not usually open to the public. I don't see what's wrong with me smoking in a place I own. Let me ask you something, am I allowed to smoke in my own place? Am I? Huh? Am I?"

Matthew was speechless and couldn't answer Robert at all.

Robert snapped his fingers."Waiter, bring me an ashtray."

Very quickly, a waiter brought an ashtray to Robert. It was like a slap to Matthew's face.

Robert put out the cigarette in the ashtray, glanced at Kendrick,and smiled,"Mr. Zabel, why didn't you put in your bid? Don't tell me you're only here to enjoy the auction's buffet lunch."

Kendrick's face darkened. He had the urge to stand up and shoutout his bid, but he didn't have the guts or the money.

"This is so boring," said Robert with a stretch."I'm going to throwanother 1.5m illion dollars to the price."

Robert just outbid himself, causing everyone's eyes to widen with surprise.

"Kendrick had been talking tough ever since he arrived as if hewasn't scared of Robert at all. Heck, he even alluded to the secret consortium backing him and yet he had never put in a bid from start to finish! Is this all he has? Why,I bet his company isn't even as rich as he says!"

"Yeah!I mean, just look at Robert. It seems like this auction is justa game to him. I mean, he's bidding against himself. The Zabel Group is nothing compared to the Zabinski Group."

"79.5 million dollars going once!" announced the host loudly onthe podium.

"79.5m illion dollars going twice!"

Robert looked at Kendrick in mock sadness."Please put in your bid, Mr. Zabel. I've prepared 150 million dollars to play with you today, so how can you let this land go without a fight? Waiter, bring out all the most expensive food for the buffet. Make sure you take good care of Mr. Zabel, and oh, remember to waive his parking fee."

Everyone present heard what Robert said, and they couldn't help breaking out in laughter.

"79.5 million dollars, sold!Congratulations, Mr. Zabinski!" Thewooden gavel in the host's hand came down loudly on the podium.

"Humph!"Robert was not delighted at all. Instead, he was filledwith regrets."Well, that wasn't fun at all. I thought it'd be more exciting than this. Do bring more money next time. Kendrick."

After that, Robert strode casually to the exit. It was as if 79.5 million dollars was just play money to him.

Kendrick remained seated with a li vid expression on his face. His hands kept trembling, which provided a stark contrast to Robert's relaxed demeanor.

Kendrick remained seated where he was. He hadn't moved a single inch.

However, Kendrick was silently raging inside."How dare that Robert!Where did he come up with 79.5 million dollars to buy the land? Zabinski Group is nothing but a small company!How could they possibly afford it?"

Kendrick's face was so dark with rage that it nearly turned into a black hole.

At twelve o'clock at noon, Kendrick, Matthew, and Lawrence were all sitting inside Zabel Tower.

"Oh Robert, Robert, Robert. How dare you!"Kendrick threw hiscoffee cup on the ground, and it immediately broke into a million pieces.

Matthew and Lawrence covered in their seats and didn't dare to make a sound.

Kendrick pointed at the two of them and said,"What good is your family if they can only invest a me re 15 million dollars? How can we outbid Robert with that little money? Let me tell you something, don't even think your family will come out of this well now that your family's fortune is tied with mine!"

"There's no need to get this angry, Kendrick. I'm sure Robert onlydid it out of impulse. So what if the Zabinski Group won the auction with 79.5 million dollars? Would it have the money to develop it?"Lawrence put a report on Kendrick's desk."I've asked somebody to gather some intel, and according to this report, Zabinski Group only started to move around their funds amounting to 105 million dollars last night. That is all the funds they could use. It wasn't true when Robert said he had prepared 150 million dollars. I'm sure he was just bluffing."
