There was beautiful music in the strawberry field.

Marilyn dropped the strawberries she had just picked. She covered her mouth subconsciously and stared at Robert.

Robert walked towards her slowly under the light.

There were countless forks in the strawberry field, each one a straight line.

Robert walked along a straight path towards Marilyn in this strawberry field full of forks. The path was a bit potholed and not as flat as other ones, but this didn't stop him. He slowly walked to her in the light.

"I knew that this is a little bit fast. There's no grand scene or fancy hotels you see in the news.I knew you were still angry with me, but that's how life goes. We fight and we make up. In fact,I'm glad you' re mad at me because it taught me to care more about you in the future. I also hope that you will be mad at me often because it means that you are being jealous and you care about me." With a smile on his face, Robert held the bouquet in his hand, took a step back, and got down on one knee.

" From the first day I met you, Marilyn, I always feel like I was in a dream. I' ve been fantasizing about my life with you since the very beginning, and it was just a fantasy. But life is amazing and always brings me surprises. After all the things we' ve been through, you' ve become the most important person in my life. So I'm gonna ask you this. Will you marry me?" Robert held the bouquet and stared at Marilyn in front of him with expectantly.

Marilyn didn't expect this at all. She had never even thought about it before. She was still angry with this man yet he proposed to her.

Marilyn had tears in her eyes.

The next second, Marilyn nodded slightly and took the bouquet from Robert's hand.

Robert took out a delicate ring from the pocket of his suit and showed it to Marilyn. Then he grabbed Marilyn's right hand and put this ring on her ring finger. After doing this, he stood up slowly and looked at her.

Marilyn wiped her tears and turned around on purpose."I accept your proposal. But it doesn't mean I forgive you!" " Sure. All I want is for you to marry me." Robert grinned." But don't be angry for too long. It's not good for your health." Marilyn glared at Robert and gave the bouquet back to Robert."I have to get back to picking strawberries!" Robert felt completely relieved when he saw Marilyn's face.

They stayed in the strawberry field for another half an hour before leaving. They didn't talk much on their way home.

When Marilyn was sent downstairs, she left with the bouquet, saying nothing much to Robert.

Marilyn went home. She saw Linda sitting on the co uch watching TV as soon as she opened the door.

Linda noticed the flowers in Marilyn's hand.

" Wait, what happened? Why are you holding a bouquet?" Linda's eyes widened.

Marilyn gave up her cool face in front of Robert and said happily," Nothing." Marilyn stretched out her right hand deliberately to tuck her hair behind her ears.

Linda finally noticed the shining stuff on Marilyn's finger. She widened her eyes and said," Wait a second, Marilyn! What is this?" Linda grabbed Marilyn's right hand and stared at the diamond ring on her ring finger.

" Robert proposed to me," Marilyn said with a happy smile.
