Chapter 270 Sixty Million Dollars

Kelvin, known by his codename K, was regarded as the elite among assassins. If he was on the case, the victim's fate was sealed.

Oscar trembled, suspecting the man in the black robe was the infamous Deacon K from the Sacredice.

Kelvin twirled the pistol between his fingers like it was a toy, not concerned about it accidentally firing. He scoffed. Despite being the second-in-command of the Breaker, Oscar was visibly terrified of facing death.

Reflecting on it, Kelvin admired Norah even more. Despite being comered by the two leaders from the Breaker moments earlier, she remained composed, sitting calmly in the middle. Even when the rescue tearn showed up, Norah didn't appear anxious or scared. Her mental fortitude was commendable. €

Alone and feeling helpless, with the woman hiding in his arms, Oscar panicked, fearing Kelvin would pull the trigger.

"Sir, what do you think? If you agree, I'll hand over the cash right away. I'll cover both me and Riss. Take whatever amount you need, Oscar offered, his body trembling violently.

"Sixty million dollars for you and your brother's lives. Is it a deal? Kelvin replied.

After a long silence, Kelvin spoke up. "I'll start counting down from three....

"Deal! Deal!" The moment Kelvin started to count down, Oscar quickly agreed. "I'll get the money for you right away."

Oscar quickly pulled on his shorts and got out of bed. As he stood up, Oscar noticed his window was wide open. Kelvin must have snuck in through there. He had to give it to the assassins from the Sacredice. All of them were skilled. He hadn't even noticed Kelvin's presence until Kelvin aimed the gun at him.

Being in charge of the Breaker's finances, Oscar could easily access $60 million from the account. He handed the money over to Kelvin, even including the check he had received from Sean earlier today.

Oscar's demeanor was humble. "Here's the total, sixty million. All yours, sir."

Kelvin accepted the payment with a grunt and then issued a stern warning, "A piece of advice, Oscar Mayer. Don't mess with those you cannot afford to offend. Consider this a warning from the Sacredice. Next time, money won't save you."

With that, he exited through the window, disappearing into the night.

- Oscar quickly leaped up and stuck his head out. In the darkness, all he could see were plants swaying in the wind, with no sign of anyone around.

Oscar pulled his head back inside. Considering his room was on the fourth floor, he couldn't believe how Kelvin had just leaped down. It appeared Kelvin wasn't afraid of getting injured.

"Mr. Mayer, are the people from the Sacredice really that terrifying?" the woman on the bed inquired, her voice shaking. In the red-light district, she'd never come across anyone mentioning the Sacredice. But the moment Kelvin showed up, Oscar forked out $60 million, an amount the majority of people had never even dreamed of seeing.

Oscar cursed, "Or why else would I give him fucking 60 million dollars? Damn it! I didn't eam anything today but still had to spend 30 million. Fuck you, Sacredice!"

Oscar lost interest in having sex with the woman. Gesturing for her to leave, he buttoned up his shirt. Right then, he caught sounds coming from outside his room.

Rushing to the window, Oscar saw flames disrupting the night's calm.

"Fire Extinguish it!"

"Fire! Fire!"

"Call the firefighters! Wake everyone up!"

Panic filled the air as Oscar's complexion paled. Their base was on fire. Oscar was so rattled that his legs went weak, and he had to grab onto the windowsill to steady himself. He suspected this might be the work of the men from the Sacredice.

Observing the fire and dense smoke, Phillip smirked. Kelvin had proven his reliability once again.

Soon after, a man in a black robe approached Phillip. The man lifted his hoof to reveal his

identity, his silver hair standing out.

Sporting a wide grin, Kelvin twirled the check and bank card between his fingers. "P, 60 million

dollars. Was it worth it?"

Under the night sky, thick smoke rose, and flames illuminated the darkness. The silver-haired Kelvin beamed brightly, exuding a powerful presence.
